Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner has been inducted to LIMA (Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association) Hall Of Fame.
This coveted trophy is not an easy one to acquire, but Mr. Goldner has been inducted for kick-starting a new goldenage at Hasbro with his vision (Brand Blueprint) which started with the 2007 Live Action Transformers Movie. Goldner has been instrumental in creating a global entertainment force that crossed the US$5-billion mark in revenue two years ago for the first time in the company’s history.
In addition to his CEO duties, Brian Goldner also acts as an executive producer for the Transformers Movie Series.
Brian Goldner will be inducted on May 22 at the LIMA Licensing Awards ceremony during Licensing Expo 2018 in Las Vegas which will also feature content from the upcoming Bumblebee: The Movie.
Congratulations, Mr. Goldner.

LIMA to Induct Brian Goldner into Licensing Hall of Fame
As Chairman and CEO of Hasbro, Inc., Brian Goldner is responsible for bringing the company’s iconic brands to life across its strategic Brand Blueprint, through toy and game innovation, immersive entertainment experiences, digital gaming and consumer products.
Since joining Hasbro in 2000 and taking on the role of CEO in 2008, Mr. Goldner has been instrumental in transforming Hasbro from a traditional toy and game company to a global play and entertainment leader. In 2016, Hasbro passed the $5B revenue mark for the first time in company history.
Mr. Goldner pioneered Hasbro’s entry into entertainment and oversees the company’s omni-channel storytelling. He has served as an executive producer on a number of films based on Hasbro brands, including the wildly-successful TRANSFORMERS films and the 2017 animated feature MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE. Under his leadership, Hasbro continues to innovate and expand the way it brings brands to life through high-end fashion collaborations, location-based entertainment, music, publishing, and consumer products. The Company was awarded the No. 6 spot on License Global’s Top 150 list in April 2017.
Mr. Goldner is actively involved in driving corporate and community initiatives to fulfill Hasbro’s purpose, to make the world a better place for children and their families. Hasbro ranked No. 1 on the 100 Best Corporate Citizens list for 2017 by CR Magazine, and was recognized as a 2017 World’s Most Ethical Company® by the Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.
This year’s Hall of Fame Induction will take place Tuesday, May 22, at the LIMA Licensing Awards Ceremony during Licensing Expo 2018 in Las Vegas.
SPLIT LIP
The problem is, Hasbro pretty much pulled a "fire and forget" on the movies. They handed them to Paramount, who handed them to Bay, and just let him run amok. It worked for a surprisingly long time, but once AOE started showing signs of wavering, Goldner really should've had somebody somewhere step in and course-correct. They didn't, and TLK happened, and while like you said nothing really bad has happened yet besides the film flopping (which TBH, is more Paramount's problem than Hasbro's at the moment) I feel like they really need more corporate meddling. Someone to step up and say "Okay, you've completely lost sight of what audiences today want, fix it."
It's why I'm cautiously optimistic about the Bumblebee movie, because it actually seems (from what little we've heard of it) that there's a legitimate attempt to do just that. Adjust to what audiences want to see, more character-focused films with "heart." The days of brainless blockbuster dreck putting asses in seats is over, but nobody told Hasbro/Paramount/Bay et al.

I made a point that I no longer agree with , opinions change with time. Idk why I brought it up in like , January when brand unification was first being rolled out. I needed to vent then and I realize how stupid that comment sounded looking back. But the current ways things are going at Hasbro isn't exactly worth defending if that's what you are trying to do. I did at one point , made myself look like a fool but upon listening the other side , I received insight
Autobot Burnout
Anything that brings him closer to stepping down by retirement or other means is good by me. Like it or not, he did spearhead the films which were a major industry factor for over a decade.
But that time has passed and TLK being a massive failure with him at the forefront, since the movies are essentially literally the only thing he cares about because it put him in the CEO position, it's time for somebody who can take Hasbro out of this steep nosedive before something ACTUALLY crippling occurs.
SPLIT LIP
I'm not surprised.

I fail to understand this but ok

"""""brand blueprint""'"""
Anything in there mention dumbing down your products and raising the prices on your worsening product and forcing your Japanese co-owner of the brand to follow the lead?
This is the ultimate insult ; to award this level of laziness

Congrats Brian. Same thing goes for your daughter voice acting into Transformers.

When was the fan vote?
I hope he gets at least a voyager class toy.

This is corporate propoganda, not transformers news. This is also nothing more than the elite patting themselves on the back. Awards are not hard to obtain at this level – they are simply purchased.

Bayformers FTW! Thank you mr Goldner.

Financial gain doesn't negate the intelligence needed for the success or mean we shouldn't recognize what's counted as a historic achievement. It's not much different than sports players or musicians that get inducted to halls of fame. It's about skill and how those skills are applied that may have altered the landscape of their respective fields. Whether it has to do with monetary gain or not(though in this instance it does, as it is the business world, and monetary gain is what determines how successful something is).
So that's really kind of cool to be recognized for such an accomplishment and to be marked in history books to be recognized as a historic contributor of that field.
And as such, it bodes well for us fans too. The more recognized hasbro is for its success, the more retailers will want their products, which means more finances for different product ranges, giving us the collectors more room to get what we like as well as for the company to expand and try new things.

He's gonna die like the rest of us. Money does not equal success. He can't take it with him.

I will never understand the idea that people already rich for their successes should be given awards as well. It's all a bunch of self congratulatory nonsense.
