As a fanfic writer , I like using G1 as the baseline for my personal Transformers story , picking and choosing what elements from other series while adding something new.
Then again , the story I wrote and still writing is rather terrible and stars my crappy TFOC , while Godzilla monsters guest star sometimes , the war ended blah blah blah.
Just go on Google Plus and you'll find it , this was a waste of text

Ok, Bumblebee finally hits his puberty stage.

This is what I mean. Basically redoing G1 but for a modern audience just like how we always getting modern takes on films. They don't make the original null, they are their own thing.
SPLIT LIP
I like these designs. Only Optimus feels a little blah to me. Bumblebee looks great in that full-body shot.
SpectrumBelle
Do you have a link/source for that? Not doubting you or anything, just want to share it with others.

They borrow a lot of elements, but neither are "supposed to be G1", they made their own distinct identies. "A crew of Autobots led by Optimus Prime fights the evil Decepticons led by Megatron" describes nearly every Transformers show.
I think a better term for what he means would be "remake".
I'd expect a G1 remake to have most of the same Ark Crew like Hound, Sideswipe, Mirage, Trailbreaker, etc, The Nemesis crashing into the sea, Wheeljack & Ratchet building the Dinobots. Basically taking the G1 show, same characters with similar appearances, but with better writing that's more consistent between episodes, nixing stupid things like the Autobots randomly flying without explanation and the Devastator origin debacle.
I don't really expect a G1 Remake to happen, I'm just speaking hypothetically.
That Guy
I am curious what you mean by that. I would say both animated and Prime were modern reboots of G1. What do you consider a reboot?
Cosbydaf
I hope so, that looks like it would be a really cool Deluxe.
combinerlover
I know right .
Shizuka
Seriously, why couldn't we just get a modern reboot of G1? I didn't grow up with the show but with these designs I'd have enjoyed a show that feels like a Saturday morning cartoon. Why don't they have shows like that anymore?

There was a rumor that what was the "Warriors" class in RiD2015 will be part of the Generations line once Cyberverse debuts, with the gimmick toys being the "mainline", similar to the movie toy model. It might just be a new Generations sub line like the Studio Series, or it would be the series that replaces POTP. The timing works to be the replacement series.
Fort Max
Megatron looks oddly heroic there.
That Guy
Are those screw holes on bumblebee\'s inner forearms? Maybe this is modeled off an existing deluxe design and the artist left in a detail by accident?
Do you mean like take over Generations? I honestly don't know what the difference would be. Evergreen and Generations a both super heavy G1.
I hope we get to see some new characters/designs again. I'm still disappointed that so many great designs were never put in plastic from the RID2015 cons.
Music
Are you referring to Cyberverse? Then nah, that's something different.
Novus
Not until I get my Slapdash dammit
General Tekno
Assuming these are also the new cartoon designs… gotta admit, pretty spiffy.
And honestly I kinda hope that toylinewise they're planning on having this take over. I've enjoyed Generations but let's start swinging the pendulum a bit more back away from the "G1 continuity" point and more towards the "homaging G1" middle.
