It’s been awhile since we’ve seen anything from GigaPower and their Third-Party Masterpiece-Styled GigaSaurs (Dinobot) line, but it appears the wait is over and it was well worth it. Giga recently released the third bot in their collection, Graviter (Masterpiece-Styled Sludge) and as expected, Graviter is one MASSIVE bot. He towers over both the standard scale Masterpiece figures as well as the previously released and slightly smaller in scale Fans Toys Dinobots.
Graviter features an incredible amount of chrome, a gorgeous, deep cherry red paint job on his torso, silver paint over the rest of the figure, plus extra paint apps throughout to really make the details pop. All of which comes together to give this figure the look of the high-end collectible that he is!
He comes with his plasma rifle, dual misleading launchers and energy sword, plus toy-accurate clear pieces for the head, neck and tail. He even comes with a flame effect piece for his sword!
Does this massive figure have a place in your collection? Does its sheer size and level of detailing leave you thoroughly impressed? Feel free to jump into the discussion thread to make your opinion known.
Graviter is currently available and shipping from many of our site sponsors.

Yea that makes sense. Better to leave the chrome in one mode and not mess with them versus the metallic. Kudos on the sets!!

Indeed brother…

i have both sets. both set have their pros and cons
if you display them together, i'll tell you the chrome version is going to get all the attention. the metallic version just look dull in comparison. that is why i display them separately. chrome is in their bot mode with all toy deco. metallic is in dino mode in toon look.
but the chrome, like many others have pointed out, may be more prone to chip damage. if you only display your figure, then it's ok. but if you like to mess with your figures, better to get the metallic version

I bought it used from another collector

This figure (chromed) is one of the low key all time greats.

I had a mixed set of metallic and chrome for a while, mainly because back when I got them it was a sod to find a full set of either. When the time came to make a choice, I sold the metallic ones. They always looked a bit "washed out" to me.
The Dinobots are always an eye-catching set, and the chrome only serves to accentuate that, to the point where they just didn't look right without it. I suppose yearning for the fantastic and shiny g1 toys adds to it as well. Anyway, they're big and impressive and the chrome effect is the icing on the cake.
My only regret is that you can't get a set of silver legs for chrome Grassor. So bloody annoying…

Where did you get this one? And for how much if you don't mind?

LOL! True that brother. I am certain it will happen and that story is completely related because I did the same thing with one of my FT Guardians. I sold off one of them and missed the trio I had created so I got him again from someone in Europe a few years ago before his value shot thru the freaking roof. They are pretty sweet. I need to take photos of those behemoths and post it.

I look at my collection constantly and I go back and forth about giving up some pieces, but there are some that I deem untouchable. If it brings you enjoyment, two thumbs up. Some folks I've seen with multiple Dinobot sets because they look so cool. I know if I sold mine I would miss them.
Somewhat related – I sold FT Roadking bc I thought I didn't need it and I wanted a quick influx of cash. I thought I didn't need two since I had DX9's Menasor. But I missed Roadking's engineering and how great he displayed, so I ended up getting him back. I can foresee a similar outcome if you sell your chrome bots, but again, jmo.

Yup, the metallic are more in line with the originals. A lot less bling for sure. Thanks man!!

I've sold some of my chrome gigas, and I'm purchasing the (Legends scale?) Newage EX dinobots as they get released. So effectively I'll have downsized the huge Gigapower chromes into different high quality dinobot set with lovely G1 chrome vibes, but taking up much less space.
Sometimes I felt the sheer quantity of chrome – especially on Swoop / Gaudenter, it was just too much. So much glare and mirroring/reflections made me think that IRL they're kinda difficult to display in a satisfactory manner.
So personally, I'd keep the metallic. Plus they'll be easier to fix / touch up the metallic paint should you have any breakages or scratches.

Yea, it's a tough call for sure. I think my fascination goes beyond wanting both sets just because. I have loved dinosaurs since I was a kid way back in the day so to have a bunch of dinobots is just a dream come true and it's really hard to part with them. Thanks man!

I have a mixed set (Grim is metallic, the others chrome) and the chrome gives me a bright, grown up "G1" vibe, like the 85 line took HGH. But the metallic, while comparably duller, have a more "realistic" presence. (And yes, I'm at that point where collecting is a habit and I'm looking to offload some very shortly as well).
I'm not sure how long the chrome will last, especially if you like messing with them, so I'd go for selling the chrome and keeping the metallic, but that's JMO. I myself will keep the chrome b/c I just like that look and how it displays to me is more important than any eventual wear.

All of them still look amazing.

So decision time. Over the years I have collected both sets and there are times that I think it is cool to have a variety and there are times where I think it is just too much and I find myself having trouble enjoying them because….well it’s hard to choose which one to mess with. I guess I have hit that point in collecting where it just becomes a habit and I don’t like that.
So the question for those who have had both sets and sold off one of them is do you miss the ones you sold? If I had to part ways with one set tomorrow I would definitely keep the metallic version and sell off the chrome. Just looking for opinions from the group. Pardon the sloppy iPad photo. I prefer to use my camera for a better shot. And yes I misplaced one of the heads so please excuse that poor headless fella. LOFL! Thanks for the input.

I've been considering trying to get Graviter as a replacement for SS86 Sludge.
I just want my Dinobot team to be a bit closer in relative scale for their alt modes.

My 2 cents. If you're spending this much to get the Giga dinos, get all 5 Giga dinos for the collection! i.e Reximus is nice but it's not the full collection if you don't have Superator!

Hi all,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm currently on the hunt for a new or used Metallic Graviter and thought this might be the right place to find one. If anyone has one they'd like to sell or is open to a trade, please get in touch.
As for trade options, I have an opened and complete Fans Toys FT-08 Grinder in excellent condition that I'm willing to exchange.
I greatly appreciate any offers, leads, or assistance you can provide. Thank you in advance for your help!
