Thanks to our very own News staff AzT, we have our first in-package image of the Transformers: Studio Series Optimus Prime.
We had reported our first images of Studio Series Optimus Prime, Starscream, Ratchet and Crowbar in our forums. Now, via Snakas Blog we have a look at the final packaging of the new mold of Voyager Optimus Prime figure. While it’s a small picture, we can see that the figure comes in a nice windowed box, and we can see figure inside which seems better transformed compared to our first pictures.
Are you ready to pick up this new Studio Series figures into your collection? Check out the mirrored image after the jump and then sound off your impressions at the 2005 Boards!

Oooohhhewww Hatchet! Now there's a toy I'm looking forward to! A CORRECT Hatchet this time, Hasbro! I have the Cyberverse Commander/Basic size class version and he was NOT a plane.. I still like the toy though I'd kill for a accurate set of the dreads in today's engineering.
One thing I like about the movie toys over the generation toys is they are not hollow pieces of trash. Most of them are solid figures. Of course some of them are hollow-ey looking like Voyager Scorn, but not like the car bots with hollow thighs, forearms, and usually one more section.. anyways carry on …

I was only explaining what was not being understood. But if they wanted they could do it with the voyager. They did a fine job with the chicken leg on past voyagers, so they just need to add extra joints so it's double jointed at the knee.
That said I like this mold like I said I was just explaining what was not being understood

Agreed I find it highly unlikely an updated crankcase and a new hatchet release is out of the cards down the line.
As a side note berserker remold aside I don't care I'm just happy to have a crowbar finally only 7 years late.
Prime135
Nah, they’re probably tucked underneath the kibble on his back (roof/hood/windshield). Keep in mind, they come out of his shoulders, not his head.
octobotimus
from the transformation, wouldn't they stick out the front in that case…..
Sideways77
That's something I've been wondering. There's no way they'd want you to put Crowbar (and hopefully an eventual Hatchet) with the horribly outdated DOTM Crankcase.
Prime135
1. Crowbar is most definitely a remold (albeit a heavy one) of berserker.
2. Crowbar has proper digitegrade legs, it just looks like they’ve got him resting on the lower portion because whoever posed him thought they were his feet
3. Crankcase and berserker share a CGI model and alt. mode. Yes, the toys are different molds, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see a repaint of berserker as an updated crankcase in the near future.
f-primusunicron
under the vehicle mode
octobotimus
looks that way….. tbh the greatest mystery here is how they'll hide in alt mode being as long as they are.
lonewolf96
True its probably me cause its late but at first glance they don't look like they are. in the back of his head but rather his bView attachment 27880199 ack just under the hood of the altmode.
Lazerwave
If those wires on Crowbar's head weren't there, they could just repaint this with rust and sell it in a future wave.
octobotimus
he seems to be a heavy remold, kinda like generations sandstorm was with springer.
Godzilla Ranger
Whoops, meant to say “mold” lol

Since I don’t have any figures of the Dreads yet, I’m thinking of getting DotM Crankcase instead of TLK Berserker before getting getting Crowbar, so I have at least one version of both molds.
