More 3rd party news from Perfect Effect today. The group has revealed a colored prototype image of their Masterpiece styled Transmetal 2 Beast Wars Megatron. This companion piece to their Beast Gorira figure is shown here in all three of his modes – robot, dragon and “transportation” mode. Here is the breakdown of what the figure comes with according to the Facebook page:

Sweet! I've since acquired Legacy Megs but am waiting for the DNA set to come in so I can upgrade him to all his glory.
Funemployed

Put some water on the ball joint and heat the socket with a hair dryer and plug in the tail with all your might
Zi Shan
You can try dipping them both in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes. You don't have to immerse entire figure just the joints. It makes things much easier.
David Hingtgen
Heat it up. Hair dryer or heat gun. Don't melt it.
soundwavin
how do you get the tail into the back of the head with the ball joint? Is there any way to loosen it? I'm really trying to jam it in but it's not really going easily.
Nemesis251
No problem. I've done it a few times myself.

My bad guys, I don't even know how I was in this thread. I used a bookmark to my local sightings thread. Weird, please ignore.
Nemesis251
Probably just posted in the wrong thread.
Zebulon
Er. Okay?

I was at 5 Below in Woodhaven, they had the little one dollar guys, role play toys of Optimus's Axe from DotM & sword from AoE. They also had these guys below that I've never seen before. The weapons and racers were $5
KveTar
Never heard about. But maybe yet.

Anyone know if there will be a OS KO version of this? Similar to how PE Optimal Optimus got the OS KO treatment too….
kronatron
Nice! I'd like to see a group shot of OG TMII megs, Legacy dragon megs and this guy.
Daedelus
Honestly can't wait to finish Cang's Thunderking and have Megadoragon in bot mode on his shoulder.

The post immediately above this is where I mention how I fixed it, should you have access to a 3D printer.
If not you can replicate the same basic behaviour by lining the inside of one of each wing type on each side (which would then become the inner wings) or by lining the inner portion of the post in order to compensate for the draft angle. Lining could be done with tape, or with a filler material of some kind (Kiki, water-based poly, floor polish, etc), but you don't need it to be very thick. 0.1mm (about 4 thou) is sufficient.

I love the red one. I wish they'd reissue the blue one. Such a cool Transformer.

To elaborate on what the other guy mentioned, you can try taking it apart and applying a bit of clear nail polish to the base of the pieces, you can try to work in some Kiki's or similar joint tightener (which is basically watered down floor polish/varnish to make it flow more readily), use floor polish/varnish directly although I don't remember what the specific type to use is now at days. Don't try glue unless you can't figure out another option and don't want to wait because you'll need to work all the pieces for a good long while to avoid them setting together and you risk fusing the pieces.
