3rd party group, Iron Factory, has updated their Weibo page with colored images of their upcoming Sword of Defender (Dai Atlas) figure. Originally announced last November, these color images are looking sharp, showing off the bold colors associated with the character. Expected release is by the end of 2017.
You can check out the images after the jump!

I have mine n I still think it is 1 of IF's best ever figures. Great posability n I loved him in the ol MTMTE comics run. Highly recommended

I’m not sure about other people’s opinions on him, but he’s still one of my favorite IF figures. The forearm panels are frustrating if you don’t fix it right away and can’t get a replacement part, but it was an easy fix so I haven’t had any issues.
looks good, poses well. Alt mode isn’t bad if you don’t mind gundam altmodes, but other people probably don’t like it.
hope you can find one man.

Sorry for raising this thread from the dead. But this is one of the few IF figures I dont have now and was curious about how this figure has held up, and any further issues not really mentioned before
I've been keeping my eyes open for one, but the only place I've seen it is on ebay for some pretty high asking prices, so if any one is thinking about selling a complete IF Sword of the Guardian please let me know
Posted on the wanted thread a few weeks ago and didnt hear anything, so hopefully it's ok to ask on here too.

I've previously speculated that they might do this.
If you transform their Dai Atlas into alt mode, you'll see there's a notch in his crotch that is there for no reason… but seems to be in the perfect position for him to 'link up' with a hypothetical not-Roadfire figure.
And I'm sure with how the shield works as the front of alt-mode, there'd be a way to link it up to a not-SonicBomber figure as well.

So, when is the Sonic Bomber and the other guy coming out for some Legends-size [Big Powered] action??? 😀

I have one, and though I like the aesthetics, he’s very fragile. Like a transforming doll!

A little late, but here.
Jetfire sizes up well, but his head is still a little small.

How big is this figure compared to a standard Deluxe-size Hasbro TF? A little smaller, I'd guess. Any pics?
Rewind
Anybody want mine? I don't really like it that much after getting it in hand. No real problems other than the sword hilt paint chipping.
Victory Force
Got mine today, pretty neato figure overall. BUT!!!
1. mine didnt come with his sword which is a pretty huge letdown
2. The arms. I don't get why designers STILL cant calcutate paint thickness. Tried to shave down the posts for the tread hinges, one was so tight i couldnt even disassemble it without breaking. Huge letdown.

Got mine in and had a couple issues, similar to others.
– Left arm hinge wouldn't open. Disassembled arm and used shock oil to get it to move. Shaved shaft slightly.
– Left hand wouldn't move. Had arm apart, used oil, and pushed from backside. Shaved hand post.
– Hands tight and rubbing paint off of sword. Wallowed hole out with drill bit to let the sword slide in more easily.
Other than that, he's been great. Bot mode looks awesome and the jet/tank is passable.
It ends here, Villain!

Spare me, Dai. Your religious crusade was anything but Heroic.

I'm not sure if one of mine is "thick", but the other is definitely on the thin side. In fact, there's a stress mark from being bent during transformation.

He looks so good. I can't wait for mine to get here.
Additional question, does everyone's Deadlock have one thick head fin and one very thin head fin?

The full review for Iron Factory's IF EX-25 Crystalys (Sword of Guardian) is up! Link in sig:
The video and article get in depth but I'll definitely say that this one's worth a pickup whether it's your first or latest Iron Factory figure. Outside of the sword fitting tightly and rubbing the paint on the handle, I don't have a single damned complaint even being as nitpicky as possible. It's good looking, insanely articulated, and FUN.
Here are some pics from the gallery:

I guess you must have great luck. Others seemingly haven't been so fortunate. I, myself, received a seeker with no head and Onslaught with the gestalt head antenna already hanging off in the box.
Don't get me wrong they're great figures, that's why I buy them. However there are issues appearing, collectors across various IF threads have experienced this.

Yeah, the wrist covers are very thin plastic on Dai Atlas. They seem like they'll snap if you don't handle them carefully. My copy of Dai Atlas has a loose upper bicep; nothing too bad and fixable. But they have their QC issues.
The tight joints tend to loosen up over time, but it's a little nerve racking until they do.
