Reports have been trickling in over the last few days of Robots In Disguise Twinferno hitting US store shelves. A majority of the sightings have been found at Toys R Us and come from Colorado, New York, Virginia and Tennessee. At first, this leads us to believe that Wave 3 Combiner Force Warriors have been released but that may not be the case. The wave mates of Thermidor and Bludgeon are not being found yet. What is most likely happening is this wave of figures is currently shipping out which is mostly rereleases of older figures and a single Twinferno in each case.
So, keep your eye out for Twinferno if you collect the RID line and we’ll report future sightings as Bludgeon and Thermidor hit shelves eventually.

Didnt know that. So that might explain the price gouging since its a private entity the owns a monopoly.

Royal Mail isn't owned by the British Government, they sold it off.

Thats crazy. Now I know where the British government gets all their money from.

Gotcha. Well in Ameeica, they dont charge to issue a number that already exists in the system. Obviously in other country the post office makes up excuses to get every penny they can get.

It's a matter of experience really. I haven't sold anything on eBay in ages, but whenever I dealt with someone here at TFW2005, I would explain the options and most people would prefer "cheap" over tracking.
What I've discovered is that Americans in particular are often massively inexperienced in international shipping, which is why they will often tell me their ZIP code because that's just the way they know it from domestic shipping. I then have to inform them that their ZIP code is irrelevant with regard to the shipping costs – I only have three options: Within Germany, within the European Union, or "other".

Because postage is cheaper in China? Royal Mail's website quote £13.25 to send a small parcel to the US, £17.25 if you want tracking

By comparison here's a random sample of Bisks from the US to the UK

Thanks. I was not aware of this. In America, tracking is standard with even the cheapest form of mail outside of a letter which is like 50 cents. Granted, since it was a CD, he might have mailed it in a thick padded envelope as a letter. The thing that sucks is he assumes international buyers are supposed to know this.

There's no way $4 shipping from Germany comes with a tracking number. You most likely paid for something called "Großbrief" ("large letter"), which amusingly can actually be a parcel that is considered a "letter" in international shipping and can thus be surprisingly cheap – but it won't have tracking. I've used this option many times with people who bought from me, and thus far I've never lost a package.

So if theres no fees to export why is the guy charging 18 bucks to ship a damn thermidor to the US when china ships for less? He must be keeping at least 5 bucks if not more for himself…
SG Roadbuster
why is Hasbro still repacking toys that were in wave 1 over 2 years ago?

Never going to happen on the import side. No fees for export bar the postage and IIRC that's comparable to the US now

That is true. I bought a used music CD from germany that cost about $4 shipping. But it shipped october 9th and the dealer claims I didnt pay extra for tracking. I asked him since when does a parcel not come with a tracking number? My guess is the bastard wants extra money to upload it on ebay. Still waiting for the CD. Not sure if he is being honest about the system or if I should report him to ebay. Ill probably wait to see if the package has any printed numbers on it that I can track online. If it does im gonna call ebay and give him s**t feedback.

Love that Bludgeon design, definitely hoping it does show up at US retail

Whether its coming in or going out of the country, its your countries fees that are outrageous, not mine. You're people as a whole need to elect leaders that do away with these parliament imposed import and export fees.

Wanted to mention that I found the single-packed RID Twinferno case at Target yesterday, the same one that was reported at TRU before. So it's not just TRU getting that odd case.

Should have imported from Germany, our shipping costs are surprisingly low!
(Store prices are high, though.)

Which is odd cos that's exactly how UK fans have felt about importing from the US for years!

There's still hope for Bludgeon and Thermidor: Entertainment Earth is now listing wave 13 of the RID Warriors for preorder, which includes Bludgeon, Thermidor and Twinferno. The Twinferno-only wave is labeled "wave 12", which appears to be a US-only wave since all the other international markets have gotten "wave 13" from the get-go.

EDIT: On the other hand, it appears that Legion Heatseeker and Cyclonus might get skipped in the US. Their wave was released internationally months before the Sideswipe/Groundbuster/Twinferno wave, but Entertainment Earth is now labeling that one as "wave 10":
Transformers Robots in Disguise Legion Wave 8 Set – Hasbro – Transformers – Transformers at Entertainment Earth
Transformers Robots in Disguise Legion Wave 9 Case – Hasbro – Transformers – Transformers at Entertainment Earth
Transformers Robots in Disguise Legion Wave 10 Case – Hasbro – Transformers – Transformers at Entertainment Earth
Suffice to say, the Robots in Disguise line's official wave numbering differs significantly from how fans perceive waves, which is "a different case ratio that introduces new figures". By this point, all the long-running price points have had officially numbered "waves" that merely shuffled around existing figures without adding anything new, while cases that did introduce new figures were labeled as "revision" cases.

Yeah, I do the same. It's incredible what the Johnstown TRU has that never shows up here even though it's a dying steel town with no jobs. I ordered my Twinferno from BBTS.

Yeah the Toys R Us I checked was about an hour and a half drive north of me I actually don't have one locally. I just happened to be up there for a family event that Monday and decided what the hell lets see if Toys R Us has something I actually really want and not something I wanted eventually.
But thanks to BBTs (the site that has killed toy hunting for me) I no longer worry for the last wave of RID15, I just have to wait till December and hopefully if they don't push them back like most TFs I've preordered I should have Bludgeon, Thermidor, & Twinferno sitting in my POL and in my hands early January.
