Toyhax.com October 2017 Update!

Toyhax dropped by again and gave us an update for their newest label sets. Here is what Delta Star of Toyhax has to share with us:

We were made aware of a variant of Titans Return Trypticon, in which the right tower is a different design that the left. If you have this variant, and you ordered the Titans Return Trypticon set, you will need this one cent amendment set;

We have done two amazing conversion sets this month!

I know! Skyjack was the worst. Probably. I'm sitting on a spare Rook, too, since they'd originally teased him for the Air Raid/Skyjack role.

I've got a spare Rook as well, for that exact same reason. :lol

I just bought the set of four on BBTS to get Air Raid and my son got the extra Stunticons as he only had the G2 ones before.

Since Toyhax is making weapons and other stuff, I wish they would create a Titans Return Hot Rod set with a faceplate inspired by his appearances in MTMTE and Lost Light along with stickers to complement it.

I'm just happy we get something to break up Calidus' colors (he really was the least exciting one).
Windblade is nice, so unless you hate it you'll feel stupid not getting it with something.
I dig the Hot Rod kit, but mostly because I'm also getting the Takara version.

I love what toyhax.com does for Transformers and the other 80's toy lines. I love that they give you options and I collect Transformers and Masters of the universe and have bought lots from them. If something happens and you don't receive your stuff, they replace it. I had that happen once, and they replaced it quick. Didn't expect them to, but they go that extra mile to keep your business. CHEERS TO YOU GUYS AT TOYHAX!!

I really want that windblade set. The rest are meh or I don’t have the figures yet. A couple years ago they had messed up an order I made, sent me g1 predacon sets I steady of superion ones, they sent me the superion set and told me to keep the predacon sets. They have good service when it comes to the customers.

Nice of them to come up with a new sticker set for the running change to Trypticon but I just used the existing sticker set and shuffled them around a bit to fill out the new tower mold.

From judging by the toyhax parts I’ve gotten in the past, nonnefs stuff is better quality. Toyhax parts that I’ve gotten have seemed fragile. And the nonnef guns are mostly g1 accurate colors, the con clones are black instead of navy blue, due to nonnef not having anything else he make in navy blue, but at least some g1 cloudrakers had red guns

FYI the pics on nonnefs site for the clone guns are mine, I tested the print sizes and such for him

I can’t tell, is the little Matt Tracer guy based on the original or the IDW version? Because if it’s the latter, I’ll buy a Hot Rod just for that sticker set.

Man, Big Spring's set really does suck (except for some of the metallic blue stickers).

I'm peeved that the "one penny" set this time around is Windblade. Of all characters, they had to pick that Headmaster Windblade which still doesn't have a need to exist, especially when they could have made a better character in her place. It's not even a particularly good-looking set, either…

The Overlord set is probably one of the best from this update, actually. It's quite simple but effective.
Calidus looks okay but it's a bit naff.

I know there are waterslide upgrade kits available but it's a real shame that Reprolabels/Toyhax don't make all their stickers also available as waterslide and even dry transfer decals. That'd interest me way more than stickers (and would make me feel better about the price).

By the way, the Eject link is wrong (it goes to G1 Eject instead of TR Eject). They're correct in the email that I got so I'm not sure what happened.

It actually looks pretty good but it's a shame that they didn't also make a separate set in case you decided to paint Rewind yourself (i.e. a set that adds the gold details and other decals such as the big stickers for alt mode). I suppose you can do most of that with paint though, but the chest ones are hard to get right (although to be fair, even they didn't get the chest decals perfect – they're missing the small circles in the upper-outside corners).

I agree it's time for them to update the tech used for at least MP grade sets. Being originally intended to be repro labels for G1s it made sense to be actual stickers but by today's standards they often fall short. Still too much emphasis on recreating toy decos. I want upgrades to my MPs which should include more realism. You can't put these on a Sunbow inspired fig it clashes. Too many gimmicky inspired designs like teeth for Grinders bot head. I like these guys and what they do but I think this is a legitimate point to raise.

No idea what Toyhax's guns are like, but materials of Nonnef's feel the same. Only come as the colors shown.

I'm not a big sticker guy…unless its a conversion set…so it'd be nice to be able to get the clone twins guns as a set without stickers…
