We are back with our weekly Transformers Universe: Bumblebee Movie News Roundup.
The biggest piece of info dropped on us last week is the fact that there will only be 4 robot cast members for the movie. One of the robots is [obviously] Bumblebee and we know of a possible Decepticon in the form of a red 1971 Plymouth GTX. This leaves 2 more for us to find out who or what they are. But if you direct your memory back to the early days if filming, you may know that the film crew advised not to bring cars to the set that are Yellow, Red, Black and White. Therefore it can be speculated that the remaining two bots are Black and White in color.
Meanwhile composer Steve Jablonsky stated that he may not be able to produce music for the Bumblebee movie since his hands are full with three other movie projects. However, it is worth noting that Mr. Jablonsky is under the impression that the movie will be released in Summer 2018 rather than Christmas 2018. Since scoring only happens during the final stages of post production, we can guess that there is still a chance for him to compose if approached by Paramount.
If we move back onto the set of the movie, we will learn that principal photography has entered what may be the final week. It comes as no surprise since we only learned last week that it was only just 2 weeks of filming left to do. Actor Jason Drucker was spotted heading to the Los Angeles set of Bumblebee Movie. He later uploaded some on set photos along with a photo of him wearing a classic Bumblebee headgear.
We also learned that star actress Hailee Steinfeld‘s brother Griffin Steinfeld is also present on the set for an unspecified role. Griffin is known as a professional race car driver on the NASCAR circuit.
Speaking of which, the actress herself Snapchatted several pics showcasing what looks as though a Blue Screen in the background. Therefore, we can conclude that a closed set is being used in the final days of filming for CGI related elements.
We hope you enjoyed reading our news roundup. We’ll see you next week with the possibility of filming wrapped up for Transformers Universe: Bumblebee. Don’t forget to checkout the images, after the jump. Happy weekend and have a great week ahead.
