Considering how badly the TLK stuff is going, hell no. Indeed this might be part of why we haven't got any news yet. Right now I don't think the retailers are too fond of the movie line due to the poor moving of the TLK stuff. So Hasbro is going to have to wait for that line to run it's course before they can even begin to get retailers to consider a new line. And if they decide to pack it in with the the Bumblebee movie stuff… Well now they've really got a long wait before it's going to be on shelves. And with the movies delay, does Hasbro really want to risk having that line sit around waiting for the movie, possibly clogging shelves?
So I suppose it could be Hasbro deciding they don't want to start showing them off as much as a year in advance. Which does suck for the movie fans. And in the meantime there is plenty of movie toys out. For shit like Allspark power that nobody here wants.
And as for the Titans Returns figures pegwarming… Not really. Not like movie wave one has been. There have been plenty of times I've gone into stores and seen different TR figures out. Yeah it seems like Scourge and Hot Rod sit quite a bit, but there are points in between me seeing them on the pegs where the pegs are bare, or a newer wave is in. Well some of them, briefly. But with the TLK stuff the wave one deluxes have had every peg utterly full, and I've only seen Hound, Nitro Zeus and Megatron once in a sea of grimlocks. Meanwhile the Voyager Opimus and Megatrons stick around only a week or two. Stores massively overordered wave one there, and when they didn't move well enough, it stopped wave two from being ordered.

Well, knowing my luck, Australia will get season 2 near christmas.

I saw series two once in town and no more. Got Shockwave, Megatron and Squeeks out of it.
NemiMonkey
Yeah series 2.
Angry Camaro
Yeah? Series 2?
NemiMonkey
You mean the Tiny Turbo Changers? Haven't seen it widespread but they are starting to pop up at retail now.
Lord Dcast
I'd like to know that too.
Lord Dcast
Those were mostly examples. I'm saying 'in general' would you buy Generations versions of non-G1 characters?
Although, perhaps a CW-styled Infernacus (a two-bot torso) with a blocky aesthetic and actual beast modes would be really cool. Maybe a targetmaster Squeeks? Nitro Zeus from the Triggerhappy mould?
Generations redesigns to make them feel more 'transformery' would be a really cool idea. Sadly, the characters that were never done justice in the films never made the jump to other series outside of a couple of exceptions (like Barricade to, and maybe not canonically, Prime).
Angry Camaro
So did those TLK blind grab bags for series 2 get canned??
Bountyan
They only did that because Bruticus had yellow and green feet in the cartoon. Abominus had all purple fists/feet in the cartoon so Takara will color match them for sure.
Autobot Burnout
Takara can be forgiven for that, though – I mean, would you rather have a Bruticus with color matched hands and feet but a brown jet, or a Bruticus with color-matched hands and feet and a brown space ship instead?
Given the apocalyptic levels of whining on the forums over Hasbro's reuse of Slingshot – sorry, Quickslinger – wholesale (even though technically Brawl was also a new mold only introduced into TR for Bruticus at the time), I can only assume most people would prefer the Takara version with the 'correct' alt. mode for the not-really-military guy.
denebian
At this point I'm not sure even Takara will fix it. They went the color-matched HFG on Bruticus (yellow HFG for Swindle, green HFG for Brawl, though they did do both Blast Off and Vortex HFG in gray). I can see Takara doing the proper purple hands if they do it as a box set, though I wonder if they would include all 4 hands or drop 2 of them to add better guns?

It's not just in Portland – it's the trend throughout the country.
Yeah, the wave 2's that were repacked or restocked. They're still on wave 6 showing up now, despite that – and it's also primarily repacks.
stad
Yeah, but like I said, the wording needs some work. I voted "no" but only because I wouldn't buy movie figures if they were in the Generations line. Almost anything else I would, if it was interesting.
Lazerwave
Sure they posted wave 2 for spring 2018, but they won't confirm wave 1 release.
PlanckEpoch
While that may be true, Barricade and Berserker are shelf warming too. Wave 1 would've certainly moved faster if it had new molds in it I think, but nevertheless stores overordered on the wave in anticipation of demand…and again, at least here, the demand isn't here. Even if there were more new molds in Wave 1 than what we got, I don't think much would've changed. People seem to be tired of Bay for the most part.
Devastator21
Thats only bc hasbro chose a bunch of repaints for wave 1. If it had new molds in wave 1 we would be on wave 3 rn.
PlanckEpoch
Just sayin'. If you take a stroll here in Portland then EVERY store is chock full of Wave 1 TLK deluxes and voyagers that no one is buying.
This ain't a fight but I'm not going to say there isn't a level of movie fatigue going on. Wave 1 didn't move enough or fast enough for most stores to care about. Even TLK Leaders are shelf warming, if stores are even willing to stock them around here. Granted what happens in Portland isn't what happens in the rest of the USA but at least here no one cares about movie stuff. While we're also pretty stock full of Wave 2 deluxes for Titans Return, many of us in town aren't having a hard time finding Twin Twist, Widnblade or Misfire. TR is moving faster and more consistently here.
I'm going to go on a limb and say that this IS a trend. Since CW Hasbro has stated in investor and interviews that Generations has been selling like hotcakes. I'm sure Hasbro knows what they're doing and they're going with what works and what sells. Last convention of the year and I'm not surprised that they're pushing what will get the most hype in the coming year.
Lord Dcast
I'm still running the poll on whether Generations figures from other lines would be a good idea.

Takara may be an option. I'll certainly keep an eye for their version.
If, in fact, the retail release is per the what they showed here, for my own sake, I may just have to buy two Cutthroats so I can use the extra fist. I don't think I have OCD in daily life but cases like this make me think I might, lol.
Either way, I am, so far, quite happy with the Terrorcons overall and am looking forward to seeing what Abominus looks like fully combined.
