Hasbro owned Boulder Media studio is initiating a new division to produce animated theatrical feature films. Currently catering to TV Media, the company is already expanding its capabilities to better serve its mother company.
The studio is planning to produce a 3D CGI movie based on a ‘well established Hasbro property‘ as their first project.
Now, this could very well apply to any of the plethora of properties owned by Hasbro such as Transformers, My Little Pony, G. I. Joe, Micronauts, M.A.S.K, Stretch Armstrong or even Play-Doh. However, with a plan of a Transformers Animated Movie set in the current Movieverse being talked about, there is a good chance that this first project may very well be it. If not, it can still be a possibility for a future project by Boulder Media.
It was stated (by the Writers’ Room) that the Animated Movie takes place in Cybertron regarding the origin myth of the Transformers millions of years ago.
If you wish to join this 3D CGI movie (and has the capability) as a CGI Supervisor, the job offering can be found after the jump. The movie (whatever it may be) is to be finalized within 2 years’ time.
Additionally, you can join as a 2D Concept Designer for a Transformers Animated TV Series for an ongoing production by the same studio.

Steelfire

drbeakman
if i go out to eat at my favourite restaurant, and they serve me a turd sandwich, i have the right to
1. not eat the turd sandwich
2. complain to management about the turd sandwich
3. refuse to shop there until they stop serving turd sandwiches
4. be suspicious of turd sandwiches when i walk in for the 6th time, after 5 turd sandwiches
5. warn other people who enjoy this restaurant that they do in fact serve turd sandwiches

Could still be an instance of both getting made. But I'm not sure if I'd call Stretch Armstrong a long standing beloved property. Which yeah, still points at transformers.
Didn't John Warden say before they had plans through 2021? That'd line up to toy releases of whatever this is too.
SilverOptimus
So Hasbro ditched the Stretch Armstrong movie idea and went for a series.
This gives even more expectation for the new 3D CGI movie to be Transformers.

I was under the impression that the ilm crew would somehow be involved, despite the fact it would be a downgrade animation.
If it's something like TF prime, and aesthetically movie in style, it shouldn't be too bad I expect.
This would confirm 4 TF related movies Hasbro is cooking up. The Bumblebee movie, TF6, the monkey king and optimus and this TF prime thing.

Calm down before sending your resumes fellas, Boulder Media's hiring site states that one must be willing to relocate to Ireland in a good 99% of job offers. Check if you can move first.

My 3d is so Rusty. But maybe I should try it any way.
SilverOptimus
I don't think there will be a budget for highly realistic 3D like in the Live Action Series. A fully CGI movie in that quality would cost a fortune that may never be earned back.
I expect 3D quality similar to Transformers: Prime.
Based on what the Writers' Room stated, the animated movie would indeed be movieverse.
Moy
ILM isn't involved? That sucks. If it's not transformers movie verse, I don't care for it.
ScientistMan
The Rock was in both live-action movie series (sorta).
BIOMEC
I hope the designs for the characters are not like Transformers Animated… I would rather have IDW or Bayverse style design!
Steelfire
G.I. Jem? Now THERE'S a Hasbro movie I'd watch!
I heard Roadblock was going to join the Holograms but Hasbro thought the stickers were unsustainable.
AutobotAvalanche
Agreed with all of those except #6 as the author misinterpreted that part of DOTM.
ScientistMan
Withering, unrelenting Hasbro criticism would be more appropriate if this was a G.I. Joe or Jem forum. Not a Transformers forum.
drbeakman
there is so much wrong, it would take forever to outline it all for you, plus so many have already pointed out the numerous problems, like this:
15 Ways To Fix The Transformers Movies
my simple answer
"organize a group of skilled people who care and know a lot about transformers to make transformers movies, and let them do their thing"
when i see that happening, i'll take off my skeptic hat
AutobotAvalanche
And never once did I say this wouldn't be a bad movie. I was just pointing out that people are complaining while we know basically nothing. @drbeakman , do you do yoga? Because you're great at stretching.
Steelfire
Let me try to bring all this together:
One can either be a dutiful, vigilant skeptic, or a hapless, uncritical fanboy. There's no way someone can be positive in spite of past failings, positivity is only the result of shilling or ignorance.
Got it.
