The TV spots are now starting to roll out in full force as Transformers: The Last Knight comes closer to hitting theaters around the world. Three more spots have been released online, which all include various new footage, including a look at a very familiar face – General Morshower. This means that Glenn Morshower’s name can now be added to the list of returning characters from the original trilogy who did not appear in the fourth installment.
Two of the new spots are extended one minute long looks while the other is the traditional 30 seconds. You can check them all out after the jump and head over to the TFW2005 boards to discuss the brand new footage.

Looks like Megatron does beat prime with one arm, also, seems like there is a bit of history going on, they seem to be expanding upon what prime said in the first film with Megatrons new line.

Was there any new scenes?

It's probably the same thing

Just saw a trailer during NBA finals and could of swore it said " the final chapter ". Wasn't there going to be a complete second trilogy meaning the 6th film would be the final chapter?

This isn't new is it?

Sweeeet, but also, consider the fact that there are regular decepticon protoforms running around. In AOE they showed some cybertronian imprisoned on Lockdown's ship. Maybe Lockdown left a few alive as his prisoners, afterall, he did call the Knight Ship: "it's my personal prison now!"

Yeah I admit calling it a flawed idea was a little inconsiderate, sorry about that. I agree it's best to wrap this up.

You do realize by stating everyone is entitled to their own views I was ending what is a useless argument? I take the forest battle as a failure because prime was inevitably brought back to life (which I would have saved for a separate movie. but hey, half an hour later's just fine I suppose) but I mean, eh. Also, That's what I like about megatron is he'll do anything for total dominance, he didn't plan for cybertron to be sacrificed, (and why he intended to repair the omega lock) I understand your views, trust me, I used to share the same views and argue with people over the same topic (with people who had my current view) however, opinions change, such as my own. But seriously, this is just repeating ourselves at this point, and what point is there to that? Strictly speaking, I liked the egocentric, ruthless, powerful, and slightly cowardly megatron more than movie megatron, and, there was mild attempts at character development, I recognize that, but I didn't see as much focus as I wanted to, I didn't see as much development as I desired. However, I respect your views, it's nice to hear an opinion that differs from the norm. But I suppose I'll continue with my flawed ideas and sense of wasted potential. ;3

I apologize for the length but I have much to say. First I can't empathize this enough Megatron won the forest fight, it doesn't matter if optimus pounded him he won, optimus was dead he was not, he took Sam captive to lure optimus into an ambush and kill him he succeeded. The Fallen never mistreats him, never demeans him and never really even asserts his authority. He treats Megatron almost like an equal. It's a truly dignified servitude to another. Saying he loses all the time is flat out wrong, movie 1 Megatron failed and despite being more BA doesn't accomplish anything, ROTF achieves nearly everything he set out to do. People over look the facts and what actually happened because he was cooler. That is my point and people are supporting it with their reaction to that one shot.
We know Megatron's personality we see his pride and ego very clearly it's a central factor to his arc in Dark. We see his intelligence, and his raw determination, we see that he cares about his home and race, his disdain for humans is clear, he has a moments of disappointment and regret. He's manipulative and able to exploit others flaws like humanity's greed or optimus's care for Sentinel. He can be very patient when scheming yet can also become reckless when his plans near their end due to his relentless determination. He can have a sense of wit such as when he tells Sam he has something on his mind that he needs, or when he says that went well rather nonchalantly after killing optimus while Starscream is holding his arm.
The truth is Megatron has far personality than almost anyone in the movies, in fact he's so fleshed out that you could easily paint Megatron as the hero. When he's taking control of the drones could easily be seen as the hero liberating those the evil humans enslaved. He uses energon he could use for himself to feed baby hatchlings, a broken beaten hero feeding starving children. Him reporting to The Fallen, is the hero believing they failed until their mentor convinces them to continue. Him finding Starscream's head the hero finding the body of a former comrad. It's not hard to position Movie Megatron as the hero optimus as the misguided anti villain, and humanity as the evil villains Megatron must save his kind from. His pride, ego and personal hatred for humans could be his character flaws the hero eventually rises beyond which redeems optimus, saves his people and liberates humanity from their cruel and selfish leaders, Megatron then leads both into a golden age.
This is how I know Megatron has depth because you can't do this with nearly every other version of the character. Prime Megatron sacrificed Cybertron so he could discredit optimus and the Autobots. He was more concerned with conquering and Cyberforming Earth than he was in saving Cybertron. He battled Unicron for his own ego and nothing more. Megatron got just as much focus as optimus yet never came off as anything more than the villain. Movie Megatron has been through just as much as optimus has despite having a third of his screen time, and his arc completely mirrors optimus's to a tee. Megatron could easily be painted as the hero and has the scenes to back it up, this rarely happens with him.

It's a bit tricky, I cannot unlink it in the editor. If you remove the space after // you should have the link.

This is true, but even then the lighting in these particular shots is still better than most all CGI scenes I've seen in these films. Maybe I just want to believe there was more effort involved this time around and that's influencing my perspective. Either way, it's a well constructed sequence.

And, I'm not defending sentinel or the Fallen, they too had wasted potential, but you can only go so far with blockbuster sci-fi action movies, eh?
Eclipse99
It's not a rehash though, like I said previously, I'd like a mix. In the eighties, Megatron and Galvatron were both cowardly and prideful, at times quite comical, TFP they almost got megatron perfect, And, quite contrary to your opinion of Movie Megatron, he didn't have much character development, atleast in the 80's we could acknowledge megatron had personality, even if it was cowardice and misplaced pride, in ROTF – AOE, megatron was just a secondary villain, he had a couple of fight scenes which he lost, and crawled back to his new master each time. and he has stayed that way since. I'm not saying I despise that Megatron, I suppose Bay did good for what his writers gave him, perhaps bit over the top with explosions (heh), but that was your argument, you said nothing in your previous comments (again, correct me if I'm wrong) about my ideas being a rehash, best you said was "You're Idea of wasted potential is flawed" and went on to desperately defend ROTF, DOTM, and AOE megatron. We're all entitled to our opinions, so I suppose that's your choice if you appreciate what they did with megatron enough.

I love picking apart these trailers. And I continue to notice the same locations. Like the scrapyard Cade's hanging out in with all the broken-down cars. Looks like Megatron shows up there, so that's neat.
Also, Nitro looks to survive to the final battle! Glad to see he's important (at least as a grunt). And Infernocus de-combines again. I'm beginning to wonder if all the individuals can combine or if it's just one team.
Also, when Prime kicks Megatron, Megatron is missing his right arm. Doesn't look good for him… Again.
Lord Tron
Galvatron was more pathetic than movie Megatron ever was. He screams I belong to no one and the moment his life is threatened he cowers and goes okay. Every attempt to defy Unicron is useless even more so his claims of bowing to no one are empty, it's basically Unicron says jump he says no Unicron whips him he says okay how high. We are allies now Unicron whips him okay I'll destroy him. Galvatron was pathetic his defiance was empty the moment Unicron used any force he rolled over for him. He was an idiot he took the matrix and didn't even make certain he could actually use his weapon before making his move.
This is pathetic he's a slave he has no will of his own and even worse he's too much of a coward to die with dignity. Anyone who thinks this is less pathetic than the Fallen or even Sentinel is kidding themselves, if you had a choice to be Megatron serving the Fallen or Galvatron from the animated movie, would you seriously pick Galvatron, does that seriously sound even remotely preferable.
I was never comparing the two movies I was saying how your idea for Megatron on how he should be used, is a complete rehash of the eighties movie, read your summary of it and then see how much of it is a rehash of the eighties movie, and no this isn't a comparison to the movies it's what your idea for how the character should be used.
