Earlier we reported our first Transformers Siege On Cybertron Pack In Hand Images, and now thanks again to 游珽安 from TFND on Facebook we have some interesting Takara Legends Ginrai and Hasbro Siege On Cybertron Magnus Prime Comparison Pictures.
Magnus Prime is the Hasbro release of Takara’s Ginrai mold that comes in the exlcusive BBTS pack. We can see the differences in colors and applications on the figures. So far, it seems there are no remolds and Magnus Prime can combine with no problems with Takara’s Legends God Bomber.
Thanks to 2005 Boards User Cheem The Rup for sharing the gallery in our forums. You can click on the bar to see the pictures and then sound off at the 2005 Boards.

Anyone willing to go $20 for a pounce?
mcart
I hope so for anyone who missed out!
Exodus
Yeah it has, and that thing is about 90ish now on Amazon which is crazy. It'll be ironic if a lot of the TLK come xmas time hit the Ross type stores…
Amazon as well had the Chaos set, I wonder if they'll get the Siege set too then.
Fenrys
That's pretty good. The only ones I've actively swapped heads on is, nitro for thunderwing, hot rod for rodimus prime, breakaway has become Minerva and movie breakaway got the headmaster and Orion pax for clobber to make crosshairs

I think most are simply happy with the heads of those figures. I'm just not a huge Broadside fan so I thought I'd change him up a little

Here he is with swoops head
Fenrys
I hadn't thought about using it on either of them, I've seen it on voyager megatron though
Lumpy
I believe they said they tried to order more but were told this was all they would get.
HOWEVER, TRU said the same thing about Chaos on Velocitron, yet 3-4 months later they got a restock… so it's possible that a few months from now BBTS may get more. Guess we'll see.

And I'm thinking nitros head might look good on Broadside. I'm using swoops head at the moment and it looks good but I'm thinking this one might make him look more of a bruiser. Hmmmm or maybe on tidal wave.
Zula
Quick question.
Is it likely that BBTS might get more of this set in stock?
Lumpy
Yeah, he looks cool, but the Leader scale Sky Shadow mold works way better as a Thunderwing. I sold my Thunderwing head, but kind of want to buy another one now, just in case…
Fenrys
Distribution has been shit, I got mine off amazon

Did Nitro Zeus ever come out at retail? I don't collect movie toys and by the time I realized this was a good fit for the Thunderwing head I don't see them in stores. My impression is that he is wave 3 and all I see are Grimlocks and Optimus Primes.
Fenrys
Thunderwing looks even better in person than in pics, the difference in color isn't quite as drastic
Whovian Zorker
Yeah, I'm thinking of trying this myself once I ship my PoL. I tried Doomshot (Megatron) and Nucleon (Galvatron) and neither really looked quite right.

If you ask me thunderwing pairs best with nitro from the last knight

The red plastic is what holds the feet on. You'll see tabs sticking out on them that correlate to the channels in Godbomber's legs. That's how they attach.

For those that have Magnus Prime, if yours does have the grey clips/tabs in the feet that hold Godbomber in (mine does not), how are they attached? Friction? Pinned? Just wondering if I could get them 3d printed and snap them in.

I agree that both Chaos On Velocitron & Siege On Cybertron are great sets made available at affordable prices.
Decided to just keep Metalhawk, Tidal Wave & Thunderwing Titanmaster & gotten rid of the rest of the figures.
Now to patiently wait for the other set (Chaos on Velocitron) to hit clearance bins in my country before I bring that home.

These boxsets will become long term AWESOME. Fantastic repaints for such a low retail price!

Did you pay $100+ for said burger? It's not quite an equal analogy, is it? Certainly for $100 there is a reasonable expectation of quality. There is also a reasonable expectation that sometimes in mass production, you get a lemon. But I don't think I would shoot down a consumer versus a company, that just leads to more wealth at the top when you make excuses for them like your example there. To err is human, but so is to steal.
I wonder what will be the long term appeal of this set. The Combiner Wars sets did not fair well and there are some real lemons here.
