Our very own ChErikS from 2005 Boards has just shared a Titans Return Trypticon – In Hand Gallery for all of us in our feedback section.
The pictures include how Trypticon comes inside the box, revealing that you will have to attach both legs. Of course we have shots of the three modes, Full-Tilt and some size comparison images next to the Autobot Cityformer Metroplex.
Trypticon fans should be happy with this modern rendition of the character. You can click on the bar to see some key pictures and then join to the discussion at the 2005 Boards for the full gallery and comments.

They had him for $50 at my local Ollie's, and they made a point to limit 2 per purchase. He's one of the handful of figures that I own both the G1 and the update.
GAUGE
since he's never been reissued and Titans are in such high demand amongst collectors especially for the ones no longer in stores. It just sadly the way things are.
Go anywhere in most places online selling these guys anymore and you'll see prices usually no lower than 250 for Trypticon. I got very VERY lucky to get him for what I did. but sometimes you'll see ones for as low as 160. But the guy selling for that low ended up deciding to keep his Trypticon for personal reasons which is admirable.
I still need to reacquire Fort Max and Metroplex. but no way in hell am I doing it for what they are going for right now.
Autobot Spike
Just a quick update – I STILL have not put on all of Trypticon’s stickers…..

I remember when Ollie's had this thing discounted down to like $60-$70 about 2 years ago.
Blackdragon27
Jesus I remember when they were discounting him down to $90. When did he go up so high?
GAUGE
Thanks dude!

Nice shots, Gauge, and congratulations on your improved circumstances!

Nemesis mode is so much more cool now w/ @Seeaich's meathod of integrating Siege Brunt into the Nemesis Mode.

After having no choice but to sell my entire collection 2 years ago in order to find an emergancy place to life in a very short period of time in order to aviod Homelessness, I got lucky enough to find a person who was selling this bad boy for $200.00.
This will be my 3rd time owning this big mecha reptile.

back of the box, bottom underneath the white paragraph. It’s hard to find since it’s just indented into the cardboard.

Just ordered a new in box Trypticon. Where is the batch number located?

Has anyone else had the ratchet in one of Trypticon's towers disintegrate? I recently moved mine and his tower completely flopped down.

Maybe in an upgrade pack could be a nice set, I mean the connector for Brunt's tower mode, bigger towers/canons for Trypticon's back (I used the feet stabilizers but maybe something that don't need modifications), even the back thrusters on Nemesis mode (just finding a way to peg in because I glued it (an small piece), the thrusters are still removable but something even less "invasive").

That’s lovely work. Tryp is so much fun to mess around with. Love the leg extensions.
If the half-dome is slightly modded – then Brunt fully integrates with Trypticon in all modes, while needing no extra pieces.
I’ve got a couple friends who sculpt in 3D, but they aren’t really toy people. I wonder if the mod-section would have anyone interested?

Well, a middle connector is very easy to make and will not interfer with any of the three modes:

Hah! Trypticon is a fancy guy.

Also…cravat?

Glad you dig it!
The Nemesis placement may be wishful thinking on my part, but for me it just sort of twist/slips into place. I think a slight mod to allow it to clip into Full-tilt’s attach points there might help – but that would defeat the purpose of it being a no-mod solution.
I’d usually agree on it being coincidence, but the more I look at it, the more I think it was abandoned or simply left unmentioned due to stress on the clips.
That clip/peg fits perfectly where it needs to go for city-mode, and into a nonstandard sized hole in Tryp’s cravat – although I’m still baffled by Hasbro’s choice to not make that hole 5mm.
It’s never sat right with me that Brunt was made – but his one real job, (sit on Tryp’s chest), was never addressed.
If anything comes from this, I think I’d like to see a 3p remake of that half-dome piece with a less stress prone peg in the same diameter, and a little cut-out/tab section for it to rest in Full-tilt’s attach-point for Nemesis mode. That would pretty much solve all of Brunt’s integration issues with Trypticon for me
Insurgent
I wish it was designed to do that properly, because that does look cool, but if it's stressing the pegs to do it, then it's not intentional. And not something I'm gonna try. But well done on finding it.
