We’ve got reports that Toys R Us have already started to stock and sell the recently revealed Transformers: The Last Knight Mission to Cybertron Optimus Prime Two Pack! This two pack features two deluxe class renditions of Optimus Prime: one, reusing the Dark of the Moon deluxe, depicts the Autobot leader in his Earth form, while the other, reusing the 2007 Movie Preview Protoform Optimus Prime, depicts Optimus as he was on Cybertron.
We’ve got two reported sightings so far – one from TFW2005 member Cyborgraptor in Glendale, Arizona, who kindly provided us with the images attached to this post, and a second from megatronix1002, who reports seeing the set in the Escondido Toys R Us in California.
Happy hunting, one and all!

Just picked mine up in Madison WI. They said they had to override the AUG 1st release date and sold it to me no problem.

So it looks like there is *very* little difference in colors on these, versus the originals. Unless I am missing something. At $40, I could have handled it with unique repaints; but I think I have to pass on these.

LOL!!! Thanks to those who are buying that set for $40US. Probably going to be $50 up here.
Regarding the one on the left of that pack, I already have all 3 versions DotM, Lunarfire, and Silver Knight. I'm happy with those 3 as they are very different from each other.

I had both these toys at one point.
Got Protoform Prime when the 1st movie line hit, but I lost him in a fire.
As for DOTM Prime, I had a weird phase where I was buying deluxes and then exchanging them about a week later, which is why I no longer have him or Nitro Bumblebee.
Point is I'll definitely pick this set up.

Megatron, Barricade, Hooligan, Onsalught, Nitro Zeus, and Mohawk are all the Decepticons confirmed for the film. Hooligan, Onslaught, and Mohawk don't have figures. It's possible Berserker does appear but I don't for long. Beyond that every Autobot is set to appear, except Slash and Steelbane might just be in place for generic Knights(Skullitron by extension). Infernocus is comprised of 5 bots that look like Skulk(and his figures comes with Quintessa herself.)

Yea, I would much rather all the repaints be exclusives since 3/4 are generally a pass for me. Rather have as many options as possible to get new stuff. I really need to start keeping track of this new movie line, because I will want all the on-screen characters, but I can't say that I really know who or what is actually in the movie (not that we know everything yet), cause most of these Decepticons (while cool looking) are just Random Decepticon A, Random Decepticon B, etc to me at this point.
Now if they start doing classics like the Skids repaint from the last movie as exclusives, it will drive me a bit batty since I need all the classics. Still don't have a couple of the platinum classic figures that I "need" at some point.
Nevermore
Hasbro makes new figures exclusives, people complain that they're so hard to find.
Hasbro makes exclusives redecos, people complain about redecos.
Yeah.

I really like the way the protoform Optimus deco looks. I'd buy it if not for the price and it being packed with the other figure I don't want.

You definetly got your monies worth. I did always want the Lunafire version, especially for the gun but I only saw it a few times.

That Deluxe DOTM Optimus isn't all that bad. I never would have sought it out, but they were on clearance for $3 at Walmart at the same time that Hasbro was running a coupon for $5 off a $6+ deluxe purchase, so I ended up clearing the shelves and giving them to friends kids/toys for tots/selling. I think I still have a sealed and open one. For $.50 each, the figure was tough to beat.

Also seems strange to me that if this was street dated, why would a store get the product almost 2 months before it's supposed to hit shelves. Seems a little early? Not having seen the actual box/case it's shipped in, I can't confirm nor deny the street date. Just sharing what the manager told me was flagging them in the computer and preventing them from selling it.
eltonlin98
Oh no. This sounds like a dreaded repeat of when TLK figures, even after the street date, were labelled with some "do not sell until June something-ish" kinda nonsense. Or maybe the OP's street date was broken too soon. This is literally the first time I've ever seen a figure announced, only for someone to find it available in less than 2 days within its reveal
alkamist
Your results may vary, but the TRUs (at least a few I have visited in the Bay Area, CA) are coming up with a street date of 08/01/17 and wouldn't sell it to me and are pulling it off the shelves. One store I went to the manager said he couldn't sell it to me and couldn't override it in the system. They'd take my name and number and they would hold it for me until the street date or the hold is lifted!? Not sure if this is a nation wide thing as clearly the OP was able to get one with the picture and receipt to prove it?

I agree..that prime is really good, and the colors on this one arent bad. if someone never had this mold it would be a solid buy.
But the price..holy shit…My local comic shop has that protoform prime for $8 and that DOTM prime could not be given away a few years ago there were SO many
Starscream Gaga
It was a joke babe.
Anyways, this high price does not bode well for if it comes out here. RRP for TLK Deluxes is $30 with some stores going for $35. If they've pushed up the prices for the pack in the US, I shudder at what we'll have I for.
Not too upset though, cause the Silver Knight version of that Deluxe which came with G1 colour FOC Grimlock is actually one of my favourite movie toys. The energon-axe in translucent orange is nice, but I guess I can survive.
I really like that DOTM Prime…
Goaliebot
It showed up in Canada today too*, at an even worse $69.99 cad (~$53 usd). Our TR deluxes are $20 cad, and our TLK deluxes a rediculous $30 cad. These two repaints are $35 each.
Good thing I need neither mold as I already have them.
(* not my sighting, someone else found it and took a pic over on Cybertron.ca)
iacon45
Yea, the $40 price tag gives me pause too. Especially since that DOTM deluxe Prime was being sold for $10US when he was available solo as a Walmart exclusive back then.
However, that being said, both are pretty fun molds, especially the DOTM deluxe. He was articulated and no where near as complex as the ROTF leader. You could almost say he was the test for the simplier movie style figures we saw in AoE. But the one thing that still bugs me about the figure, especially now looking at the "premiere" logo are the minimal apps on his arms. He kind of has a "sleeveless shirt" look. Optimus the Cable Prime.
Optimus8404
More repaints???!!! YES, THANK YOU HASBRO!!! I was getting sick of the new molds you were barely putting out….
Purple Heart
I have never owned DOTM deluxe Optimus nor do I feel the need too, but I own and absolutetly adore the Protoform figure, I will gladly buy it again.
