Hot on the heels of The Bumblebee Movie logo trademark, Hasbro has applied for another brand new Transformers related Trademark at the United States Patent And Trademark Office.
What’s interesting is the fact that the trademark description is very descriptive unlike previous Transformers trademarks.
Cybertronics
- Trademark ID: 87443682
- Trademark Date: 05/15/2017
- Owner: Hasbro Inc.
- Trademark Description: Toy robots; buildable toy robots; toy action figures, toy vehicles and toy robots convertible into other visual forms
The trademark is obviously a wordplay of the names Cyber + Electronics or Cyberton + Electronics.
We currently do not know for what purpose this new trademark will be used but there may very well be electronics involved along with a construct-able functionality similar to what Lego has to offer with their Technics line.

I actually do, mainly because we know 2018 is listed as being Chapter 1 of Cyberverse, and most Toys-to-life figures go by a yearly order. I also think Cybertronics might have just been a name they discarded(happens all the time) for Cyberverse, which fits a lot better to the TTL theme.
Dragonclaw
This was my first thought as well. Though much like the Transformers fidget spinners I feel like they may have missed the boat since even Skylanders is done.
SilverOptimus
Sorry for bumping this, but could there be a connection between this recent trademark and the upcoming Transformers: Cyberverse cartoon series?

I hope Cybertronic system gonna to be Mag warrios system.

Wow, you're right. Those were so forgettable that I had most of the Armada ones and STILL forgot to list them.

The "tronic" part of the name makes me hope it's more like Meccano than Lego.
Building a little remote control car that has a simple transformation would be awesome.
Probably just more not-Lego though. (I loved Trek Kre-o. It was finally getting good when it got canned.)

I had BTR Jetfire and Smokescreen (actually, Jetfire is still around somewhere). They're… average. I do love Armada toys though even with all their flaws. Actually, I got Micron Legend Sideswipe which is a gorgeous toy despite being barely even a robot.
But yeah, some of the names and such are weird. Still, I grew up with it too (along with RID), so I also do love it.

You know I actually had Cyclonus and Megatron and I though in vehicle they where fun. The Minicons wher certainely okay in my book.
You know, Armada Sideswipe is and Wheeljack are way worse then Hot Shot. Partly because they were both meant to be a specific character but fuck beyond reason their names were switched. Just name the character who's designed after Sideswipe Sideswipe and name the character designed after Wheeljack Wheeljack. I grew up with Armada though, so part of me still loves it dearly.
TCJJ
Remember when people said Armada Hotshot couldn't get any worse, and Transformers couldn't get any worse than Armada Hotshot?
BTR achieved both.
Purple Heart
We don't talk bout those.
Fort Max
There was another one before all those called Built to Rule, around the Energon Era iirc.
T-Hybrid
The only way to get better would be to keep trying.
glazios
*sigh* Another "buildable Transformers" line. They're really not learning that this doesn't work, are they? When they can design a buildable figure that looks good in both modes and can transform from one mode to another without having to take it apart first, then I'll take it seriously. Until that day, Hasbro can cram this back where it came from, ad infinitum.
SPLIT LIP
Yup. Mega has more variety to its styles and designs than Lego, which sort of keeps most everything similar.
rattrap007
I think with a lot of their themes like CoD or Halo they are on par or sometimes better than Lego. Lego is always child friendly in their designs. Compare a CoD vehicle vs a Lego city or SW vehicle. The CoD vehicle looks like a model or realistic. The Lego one while looking good, still looks like a toy.

We heard a rumor that Power of the Prime's gimmick was going to be some sort of app or game based "Toy-to-Life" scenario, maybe this is the name they'll use for the process/feature.
LegoTFGuy
Buildable Transformers, take… what is this now, 4? Constructbots, Kreo, Hero Mashers… yup, 4.
TheBeastman
Kinda hope it's a mugenbine esque line…really been craving one of those.
Purple Heart
I have to wonder if isn't this is something like a Mech-Alive or Mech-tech gimmick for the Bee movie.
John TheDestroyer
They aren't going to beat them, but I have no doubt that they could get close. Take Mega Bloks for example. Their sales are no where near Lego's, but their quality has been improving quite a bit lately. Their plastic and design quality are getting pretty close to being on par with Lego, honestly.
