Transformers: The Last Knight star actress Isabela Moner has shared details of her audition for the role in the upcoming Michael Bay movie.
Apparently, judging by the footage from ‘Fight Like A Girl’ trailer (a.k.a Kids Choice Awards 2017 Trailer) for TLK, the scene she acted out during the audition may have been the scene where Izabella confronts Megatron and his Decepticon goons by shouting “I’m not afraid of you”.
She and Mr. Bay went to a studio parking lot, where he asked her to pretend a Transformer was looming above as he filmed. He told her, “‘I want you to shout things at him, be really mean and challenge him.’ So I did what he wanted me to do, and he did as much as he could without actually having to pay me to be there. What was supposed to be a 30-minute meeting turned into a three-hour fun day of just a low-budget ‘Transformers.’”

Isabela: "You know, doesn't this seem ridiculous? The thing is big enough to step on me!"
Bay: "Yeah, but this is my movie, so us humans are pretty much in charge, and besides, it's PG-13! Now YELL!!"

Makes sense to me, isn't this kind of audition common for younger actors and actresses?

Sounds like that interview was a lot of fun. Good for her!

I may not always love his finished product, but my respect for Mr Bay as a person is way up there.
Also really looking forward to seeing Isabella in the movie. If it has the 80s-esque "bunch of kids find an alien" vibe it seems to, it could have the charm of Spike/Buster meeting Bee, way back when.
I liked her "fight like a girl" trailer. If she's ballsy enough to yell at Megatron, I think I like this character already.

I remember when I wanted to be an actor a few years back. If given the opportunity I'd love to have the privilege of auditioning, especially directly with a director. I hope for her this performance opens the door for more gigs, should it be as good as those who've seen the footage says it is.
