My Quickswitch's legs are wind-chimes. A leader class figure really should have ratcheting joints at the knee. Sixshot was no better until I painted his thighs white with BMW Alpin Weiss touch up paint. Having painted directly over the pin on the sides of his knees with this heavy sturdy paint Sixshot's legs are much tighter.. nice finish too.
Also my Rodimus head has 2 left arms.. if anyone has one with two rights Pm we'll swap

The only solution I can think of is the unpin them and then put a coat of clear nail polish on one or both sides. I would normally just use superglue but since this is not a ball joint I do not see that as a feasible solution.

My daughter's Quickswitch and my son's Sixshot both have this issue.

My Quickswitch's knees are SUPER lose. No friction at all in BOTH directions. Did I get a bad one or are they all like this?

I just saw 2 sets at my local TRU last night. I already have it so I left them. But if anyone in the Kansas City area is still looking for this set it was the TRU by Oakpark Mall in Overland Park, KS.
I know everyone keeps saying the Voyager Optimus Prime was intended to be Octane, but I've seen Octane in stores twice now and passed because when I look at him, I just see Optimus Prime. The G2 Optimus from this set is the definitive release of this mold for me.
Mecheon
Which Optimus are you talking about?
Because if you're actually saying the Optimus Prime who was blatently Laser Prime shouldn't have been redone in Laser Prime colours, ha. Hahahaha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Go over to some other corner of the franchise where people who don't care about G2 stuff are at. That's the best Optimus scheme

They do…After awhile when they realised that it ain't even moving at all. But the trend with my country is:
Collectors won't buy it initially because of the high SRP so stuffs tanked badly on retail shelves…
When the inevitable clearance (probably less 30% or beyond) takes place, you find yourself in another situation that's totally different…One in which you'll have to race/compete with fellow collectors to qualify for a purchase.
That's when the folks/collectors will start behaving like you guys on this thread.

You're always gonna get repaints and imagining that previous lines didn't have repaints or had fewer repaints is just silly. It blows my mind that folks still argue about getting too many repaints in modern lines. It's always been that way.
And I agree with what others have already said– HasTak has really done a great job with the retools in this line. From my point of view, they are trying harder to create something new and interesting when they reuse molds/designs.
The boxed sets are typically 95% repaints but that's also always been the case. Previous boxed sets were simply reissues, teams gift sets or repaints. When have we ever gotten a boxed set that was 100% new molds? Never.

I was at first for me as well, but it kind of grew on me, that and getting most of the TR's on sale
I don't think I would have paid full MSRP for them at all…especially the individual TR Master heads.
That sucks, glad I live in the states when it comes to collecting the Hasbro stuff…and they probably never put them on sale in Asia do they…
RKillian
I don't particularly like TR because of the Headmaster gimmick but they've done a decent job of making the retools less obvious at least. Then again, this is coming from the Energon days when they were still "homaging" old characters by slapping their names on completely random toys.

If I ever read anything so pedantic again, my doctor says I'll probably have to start taking Zoloft.
Rumblestorm
Arcee=New Mold
Cybertron Ironhide= Retool of Ratchet (same protoform mold and nice nod to G1)
Freeway Jazz=Repaint based on movie
Soundblaster=Appeared as one of Soundwave's avatars
Sunstorm= a clone of Starscream
Purple Shockwave=Shockwave's true colors.
Yellow Ratchet= Never heard of it.
Wasp was a cancelled figure that I thought deserved an honorable mention.
Point is, these repaints/retools have purpose. And besides, most of these repaints are the same character just re-envisioned in a different color. Thats not a bad thing to see every now-and-then.
They aren't releasing a grey Lugnut and calling him Shockwave. (Grant it, once the show ended, they got lazy and started recycling the same model for different characters, but the main line was still mostly unique from robot to robot).
Titans Return or CW don't have that. They'll retool Blurr into Brainstorm and Nautica even if the three have no relation, especially if their comic versions are completely different in design. And this will happen to half of the toyline. Its lazy (albeit, not CW lazy).
I am not saying that I don't like the TR molds, I think they are great, but I don't wanna see the same mold recycled for another 4 completely different bots. I want them to be their own thing and better resemble their show/comic versions.
worldsgreatest
And in Titans Return they are. Problem solved!

@Rumblestorm
Your Animated list has some problems. It's missing Arcee, Cybertron Ironhide (retool of Cybertron Ratchet), Freeway Jazz (recolor of Jazz), Soundblaster (recolor of Soundwave), Sunstorm (recolor of Starscream), purple Shockwave (recolor of grey Shockwave sold in a box set), and yellow Ratchet (recolor of Earth Ratchet sold in a box set). Don't think there was a _deluxe_ Wasp and not sure if Shadow Megatron actually saw wide release.
Rumblestorm
Im asking for each transformer be their own thing unless it serves the story or character (i.e; Wasp and Bumblebee in TFA, or Starscream's Seekers).
I don't want to buy Blurr in a different color multiple times, even if he's a great figure.
worldsgreatest
So really you're asking for every new toy to have a unique transformation scheme. Not for Hasbro to put out new molds.
New molds have been plentiful over the last two years. Transformation schemes not so much.
Thundershot
Very true! Getting new heads was previous something we only saw at Botcon.
Ah, but you stayed…

Welcome to tfw2005! Lol

Huh.
Come for updates about 5 specific figures.
Stay for the history lesson and pissing contest.

Ok, lets look at what many consider one of the best toylines vs Titans Return (I would go into Combiner Wars, but that is too easy to tear apart). Plus, I will give little reasons why something might be a retool/repaint.
Animated (Original Release, not the figures released afterwards like the Stunticons etc.)
Deluxes-
Voyager
Leader
Non-repaints/retools: 28 out of 39
Repaints/Retools done with good reason: 7 out of 39
Repaints/Retools done with no reason: 4 out of 39.
Single molds vastly out number the repaints/retools (and even then, most of the repaints/retools have story-related purposes).
Titans Return:
Deluxes:
Voyager:
Leader:
New Mold: 21 out of 42
Repaint/retool: 15 out of 42
Repaint w/ Valid Reasons: 1 out of 42
Wierd limbo: 3 out of 42
So: 21 New molds, 19 mold recycles.
Nearly half of the TR is recycled.
And these 19 are major characters too, not just random name-slaps that could easily be repaints.
Grant it, atleast the models reused are GOOD ones, but nonetheless, its dissapointing.
EDIT: Numbers are off kinda. Nothing major, but I'll have to edit later since Im about to watch a movie.
