Through their page on Facebook, third Party company BadCube has revealed the next two entries in their Old Timer Series will be OTS-01 Huff and OTS-13 Piper, which are Masterpiece inspired version of Generation 1 Huffer and Pipes. The prototypes were shown in robot mode along with their accessories as well to demonstrate the articulation of these figures emulating scenes from the original cartoon. Their images also show them off in vehicle mode, which retained the trailer towing feature from first version of Huff when it was produced under BadCube’s former name Cubex. BadCube has mentioned that improvements have been made on this renewed version of Huff, and it should result in a better overall product. No release schedule price has been announced yet, but you can checkout the full set of images now after the break.

Sorry, I double checked for you, BC huffer is 180 RMB (25 USD), BC pipe is 280 RMB (38 USD). (Taobao only lists the cheapest product price on the same page, that's why I thought both were 180 RMB). Still pretty cheap. Here are the links:

That's an excellent price, I have not bought through Taobao before… I am lucky enough to have Huffer whom I adore already. Do you have a link to the store?
xueyue2
I actually saw some Taobao store has BC pipes with BC huffer for sale, dirty cheap too, 180 RMB, about 25 USD. I think it's recent reissue with BC other products like RedAlert.
Choostopher
Was hoping you would say no as I am now dying to find one of these guys, maybe they will be readily available when Fanstoys release theirs?

Yes, why not? It makes the backpack much smaller, which eliminate the biggest issue of this otherwise good figure. And it's not difficult to do.
MacrossA
No, it was a custom, not a kit, but the figure lends itself to a filler piece just being a square box
Choostopher
My thanks, do you have a link to the filler by any chance?
MacrossA
I saw someone make a filler for it, but nothing else
Choostopher
I just came back here wondering if someone had a add-on pack/solution for reducing that massive backpack from what is otherwise a gorgeous looking figure. Are you still happy with your creative solution?
Choostopher
Finally have my very own Huffer and couldn’t adore him more.

My wife told me too but then the front will collapse.
ShmoopsMcGoo
Afraid that's not going to get any better once he does start speaking.

Here's a fix: break/remove the mirror on the other side. They are bothered by the asymmetry.
solskjaer
Well, anyone has a spare side mirror (right side if you are facing the vehicle) for Huffer for sale?
Why do I need it for an outdated figure? Long story short, I gave it to my son as I can't really sell it. In general it is a good toy for him but of course unavoidably he broke the side mirror. I personally don't care a bit but he keeps pointing at the missing mirror every time he plays with it. Unfortunately he still can't speak so I don't know what he is thinking.
Darthmarto
Let me know I have one for sale
Choostopher
It's his face isn't it? All of them are gorgeous but the Huff 2.0 has the right emotion captured in the face…. I have to get one.

Welcome. This easy fix make the humongous backpack to normal acceptable pipe backpack, I'm sure u will like it. The best part is it's not hard at all, since the pin isn't really secured like most toys, so with a small nail you can push it out easily.

Great! I do think that helps a ton so I'll be sure to give that a try.
Thanks again!

Answer:
1) Yes, the figure can't transform without reversing it. But it's very easy, just pull the pin out (when I insert, I don't insert it all in, leave a little at the end, so easy to pull out, like showed in the below screenshot)
2) It's everything, since the cab head is connected with the gray arm, the red circled part in below pic. It's just like Kingdom pipe. However the Kingdom pipe allows you to turn 180 degree, but in here I pull the pin out then turn 180 then insert pin in to secure again.

I know this is an older post but I'm assuming that once you do the version 2 mod where you unpin and flip the backpack parts, the figure can't transform without reversing it? Just asking since I have one of these little guys on the way.
When you flip it for version 2 you showed, do you flip just the cab head or do you flip the whole assembly with the gray arm included and then repin it?
Thanks!
