On YouTube, Chefatron has a lot of wave 3 reviews, I'm not linking since there are multiple vids.

Really? I did not know that, however I still stand by my point, but not to the same degree, for two reasons
1. The Marvel comic run is directly irrelevant to modern toys, IDW is relevant and in that Krok is explicitly and willingly unable to transform and this toy is clearly based on that interpretation.
2. The same line of reasoning can be used for him not being able to transform, we don't see him transform and we know that the toy it's advertising can not, and we have no evidence that he can other than most cybertronians can.

Krok was never an Action Master in the Marvel comics. Only Nucleon turns a Cybertronian into an Action Master which Krok was never seen to have been exposed to. Grimlock was the only one to specifically be called out as losing his ability to transform. A new Action Master character appearing in the comic doesn't mean they don't have an alt mode. They're just not seen to transform.
samisham
Those are different, in the fictional context they can transform, but in the context of the fiction Krok can't.
Bass X0
So don't the Robot Heroes characters and other little non-transformable mini figures have alt modes either? Some are just the vehicle mode even.
samisham
Make sure to get him some big ol' boots.
Fenrys
Full figures is fair, then yea krok would be the first scavenger. I'll probably get either megatron or blitzwing and use skytread on that body
samisham
I am counting mass-releases, but I dunno if I count Skytread because he's just a head, I mean entire figures. Sorry if that was unclear >.<
Also Krok officially turning into a crocodile makes It make a lot more sense that he had his T-Cog removed considering how Beastformers are treated in IDW and also makes it a lot more feelsy and depressing.
Fenrys
Technically if you're talking mass release (not club exclusives) skytread is the first scavenger we got
samisham
I know, there's just a part of me that has to chuckle at the fact that the first Scavanger we get is one that out and out DOES NOT transform, and in my mind if you don't transform, you don't have an alt-form.
Bass X0
He's always had an alt mode. It's just that his original toy couldn't physically transform, but he still had one. The first toy where he could transform was back in 2015, where he was a head remold of stealth bomber Megatron.
samisham
I find it amusing that Krok has an alt-mode now, esp since he\'s all about MMM.
Bass X0
Nah, Grimstone isn't a G1 Dinobot. Also the Titan Master size class has to have known familar characters so whoever gets released as a Titan Master will have somebody saying they want a full sized toy of them instead. I think Crashbash would make for an acceptable Snarl head and Highbrow's head an acceptable Slag head if they had to be repaints.
cylor
Thank you all, especially for the pics! I'll try to avoid the arm-cannon configuration, as is a thing that bugs me in TFCC Krok (who is a Megatron repaint, obviously). Plugging the tail to the croc's head in the back is not the cleanest solution, but is doable.
marvel b
i'm saving those hopes for later on. i'd like two sets of heads for each.
Shackwave71
I think it would be cool if we got an actual DinoBOT, and not just a head. And not another Grimlock, I like him but I think Hasbro forgot that there are FIVE other Dinobots! (Yes, I'm including Grimstone, he is official after all…sort of…)
