Mastermind Creations has updated their Facebook page with a new look at their next Reformatted figure. This time, an IDW style inspired Megatron takes center stage. These new images show off the two configurations of the figure, from miner to tyrant and the alt-modes to reflect both. You can check out the images after the jump and join in the discussion on the 2005 Boards!

So, if you're refering to the spiked/unhelmeted head, that one comes with Ravage, which I don't have, if you're referring to the helmet itself, they're both unusable on both heads unfortunately.

So did I find it?

Is the hair piece in there

Had to completely bash mine but I got store credit to replace it, they may save $ here and there, or charge a bit extra here and there, but it's worth the excellent CS they provide.
Honesty
You get that customer service because they save $$ on by not issuing points, not offering free shipping over XX money and shipping your stuff as slow as they can.
Still though, glad to hear it <3

The hip joint tore on mine while extending the leg during transformation to bot mode. 8 screws, 2 pins, and one lock ring later, I got it apart in hopes that MMC or BBTS could send a replacement joint. BBTS came through in a major way and is basically replacing the figure (issuing a credit so that I place a preorder for the core body). Truly next level customer service. I have 20+ MMC reformatted figures and this is the first that's ever broken. Durability is a big reason why my TF collection is nearly all MMC and Hasbro.

Anybody got any issues with the the shoulder ports shearing? The winged ones were really in there and the right one is cracked. Also if anybody has broken extra shoulders lying around, let me know.

I wish they'd put his 'medical cannon' in the upgrade kit with Ravage

Such a beautiful piece, can wait to get the core body for a miner build. You know, I wasn't a fan of the overly large cannon and it's non traditional look, but given the Super Megatron inspiration, and influences, it grew on me, now I legit like the overkill look. All this guy is missing is fully articulated hands, and an ab-crunch, and I think both are actually doable given it's assembly.

Thank you!

Oh shit, it worked, thanks bud!

You just press on one side of them and the pop off, as least mine do.
mikeszekely
Yes, that's exactly why MMC released the spare core body.
CyberRat
OOOh! So pardon if potentially sounding a little confused, does that mean if you buy just that core body, you can take the parts from the "actual release" and have both for display? They just made it easier to have the two figures?
mikeszekely
The original release came with swappable parts so you could display him as miner Megatron or MTMTE Megatron. The extra body is just that- the core body without any parts, so that you can take the extra parts from the regular release and display both looks for Megatron.
DarkOxygen
I found it easiest to pop them off by going across the arm, instead of towards the hand or elbow. It was easiest to get a thin object underneath that way.
CyberRat
Since this thread popped up and keep forgetting to ask or fully research: What's the extra body thing that sells for this figure? I do like this Megatron and plan to eventually buy one, but don't know why it's offered? I mostly want this Megatron for "BD" (before decepticon) miner look he has.

Very nice! Great work bud!
So glad to have him back, had to sell my og copy couple a few years back.
Anyone have a simple way of removing the forearm covers once their in? They came pre installed, I'm glad they're included with this release, But I wanna arm him up.
