At a toy exhibition event named ToySoul currently taking place in Hong Kong, new toy company Flame Toys have hopped on the scene with their announcement of a brand new officially licensed Transformers figure, Kuro Kara Kuri 01 Transformers Drift. Flame Toys’ “Kuro Kara Kuri” is a new brand by the design team “Chemical Attack“, whom worked on other toylines like Bandai’s Metal Build, as well as Sen-Ti-Nel’s Rio Bot and RE: EDIT Ironman Series.
This robot samurai is modeled after Drift’s first appearance in IDW comics, and it features official Autobot symbols on its shoulders and a light up gimmick in its chest. Accessories include dual short sword that can be sheathed, a great sword that can be stored on the figure’s back, and a cloak that appears to be made with a real fabric medium. The final figure will be made with a variety of plastic and also diecast material as well. The prototype has yet to be seen in poses other than the standing position as pictured in the display, but according to information available at the show, this appears to be a fully articulated non-transforming figure.
Unfortunately, no measurement, release date, or price has been announced yet. Flame Toys did state on their blog that more information will be forthcoming as the event progress. We will ensure information will be update as they become available, but you can check out images shared by Flame Toys on Twitter and Weibo user 52Toys after the break.

Mine seems fine. Only joint I hate is the waist joint, wobbles a little bit too much but its been like that since day 1.
PoweredConvoy
No major issues. Not super tight but no loose.
Rookbartley
Seems fine on my end. I had to do some shuffling around when I got Black Star Saber in and he seemed tight to me. No issues posing or displaying.

So, sorry for reviving this thread, but for those that own drift, how have his joints held up over time? I'm only asking out of genuine curiosity since some people on the general FT thread have said that his joints are pretty loose
stormflash
Most probably not, they did a re-run like 1-2 years ago so I doubt they'll do it again

Anyone know if there will be another reissue of the Kuro Kara Kuri Drift in the near future? I’m looking to get one but would prefer not to pay the $550 that they’re going for on eBay.
PoweredConvoy
The guns are part of his normal accessory list. The extra face mask / helmet were the exclusive / bonus parts.
Sirtank
Just got my shattered glass Drift from Sideshow. As advertised, he did come with the bonus guns. I haven't put the batteries in him yet but I don't see any issues so far.

The right shoulder lights do not work. The batteries are well installed, I lift the panel and nothing, they don't turn on. I bought it from bbts.
Digger
Doesn’t he have his own thread?

Where’s the SG pics?

I don't own it, but if i remember correctly the Optimus model kit was pretty much carbot height. I don't know if Drift will be the same height or less but I'm sure he wouldn't be any taller than that
harrismonkey
No. I just had the impression when it was revealed it was shorter than this version. If you dig up the news post, it may say there- not sure.
Digger
I’m not too sure on that. I’d imagine maybe a small voyager. So that could potentially scale. But I’m not sure about that.
Cold
He is yeah, i wouldn't even mind it much but if you add in the aesthetic difference i feel like he'd look way out of place, a shame because he looks truly amazing
Oh yeah you're right, any idea of how tall the model kit will be?
harrismonkey
It is conceivable I may eventually downgrade to the upcoming model kit because of the size (I believe that is supposed to be smaller). We'll see though, this guy is awesome.
Laserpants
He is a tall boi, yes. I don’t think he’s scale well with any MP carbots, sadly.
Cold
Thanks! And damn, he's a bit on the tall side
