Takara-Tomy’s @TF_PR twitter account has shared an image of the upcoming Transformers Legends Ginrai standing side-by-side with his US equivalent, Titans Return Powermaster Optimus Prime. Much like the original Super Ginrai toy compared to Generation 1 Powermaster Optimus Prime, this new release is more than just the Hasbro version repackaged for the Japanese market, featuring additions including remolded chest, feet and forearms, with additional articulation and new guns to boot. Thanks to the new feet, Ginrai also stands around a half-inch taller than Powermaster Optimus Prime.
We know that ultimately Takara-Tomy’s Ginrai will also combine with the upcoming Godbomber figure which is in the works to form a full-on God Ginrai, but we feel that this image really brings home how awesome Ginrai looks even without his booster armor. Check out the image attached to this post.

I have God Bomber on pre-order but I want the Takara God Ginrai to go with him.
I DID (and still do) have God Ginrai on pre-order at Hobbylinkjapan, but they have a bunch of God Ginrai pre-orders they never got filled because Takara-Tomy didn't ship them anywhere near enough what they ordered.
So that's the pickle I'm in.

Just preorder the siege on cybertron set on bbts, it went up today, costs $100 for multiple figures, uses the super Ginrai mold, opposed to getting Ginrai by himself for the same price

They are similar in style, albeit a lot smaller than Renderform's own TR PMOP rifles… which unfortunately don't feature 5mm posts for use with Super Ginrai.
