Transformers: The Last Knight star Isabela Moner recently spoke to Girl’s Life magazine regarding her first day on set with director Michael Bay. Website Just Jared Jr. was able to get an excerpt of the article which will be released on store shelves Tuesday. They report that Bay first greeted her by saying:
“Welcome! Today you’re going to put out a fire. Do you know how to use a fire extinguisher?”
Moner explained that he had her get very close to a fire in order to prepare for a shot.
“Michael lit this huge fire so I could practice, and kept shouting, ‘You have to get closer! Closer! You’re not in the shot yet!’ All I could think was, ‘My face is going to melt off!’” she said.
The action did not stop there as Moner had another sequence that involved her running while carrying three parachute bags.
“I grabbed them and I ran through the scene with all this wind blowing in my face and dust getting in my eyes and smoke and things on fire. When I finished it, it was just the most amazing feeling to know that I’d done it.”
Moner’s efforts on set will be shown to the world this summer. Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters June 23, 2017.

Being on-set for Bayhem must be SO MUCH FUN…man, I hope like HELL to be so fortunate someday!
Lucky girl.

True

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking, too.
Again, it only makes sense. Presumably, they just saw some shit they're not supposed to reveal yet.

I think they're saving the set visit embargo after the trailer's release.

This has reminded me, what happened about the press embargo that was going to be lifted a couple of months back? Wonder if they're saving it till after the trailer or they've just forgotten to lift it lol
Shark
The best kind of first day to have!

'Thank god Shia was fast'. To paraphrase.

Reminds me of Shia's first day when the pitbulls got loose and almost chewed his ass off, lol.
Realistically, though, it only makes sense. If you have to replace your star after production starts then it's better to do it on the first day than weeks/months into filming.
And the good news is that we'll probably see some of it in the first few trailers since Bay tends to go in hot and prioritize the "trailer shots" in the first week or two to WOW the producers and get a head-start on polishing those shots up before everything else so they'll be ready in time for the first teasers.

Sounds like a Bayhem first day on set

Pretty sure she told the story about her face melting off somewhere before.
In which case, the only real news here is that her character puts out a fire, and she grabs some parachutes, too.
Oh, AND that I'm apparently buying next month's issue of "Girl's Life," lol.

"Little did she realize that she'd wandered onto a set laced with more than forty tonnes of TNT. Mr Bay's voice echoed in her earpiece; she could not see him, but was aware of his scrutiny. The glint of reflected glass from a set of binoculars over a thousand yards away caught her eye.
"Move a bit to the left," came Mr Bay's breathless voice over the earpiece.
Isabela heard a click.
"Action!""

Good, more marketing like this. These are the stories people need to hear.

I smell a set visit coming.
