You will need a pipette for getting a controlled amount of thinner to thin down paint, so I would recommend this: it's around only $10, so not bad. I'm gonna make the safe assumption you're in the Americas. Here's the link: https://www.usagundamstore.com/products/mr-mix-ii

It's this Mr. Mix II set. Comes with everything you need. 2 scoopers/stirrers and 2 pipettes.

Thanks! I get its a proportion/ratio but I wasn't sure what you were to measure the amounts with. What "scooper" do you recommend?
BrutiKing
It’s proportional basically. @Sy-Rein Gives pretty good examples. I use a tiny little paint scooping thing and for every 4 parts of white I put in, I also put in 1 black, 1/2 navy blue, and 1 rough silver.
Sy-Rein
If 1 part is 1 milliliter, then 4 Parts is 4 millilitres. Or 1 part is 1 ounces, 4 Parts is 4 ounces. Depending on how much paint is used, 1 part could be 1 gallon with 4 Parts being 4 gallons. It’s simply a ratio.
Rfour
Pardon but how does one exactly add / measure 4 parts, 1 part, etc?

Here ya go. Red painted, blue unpainted. If you think it looks good, follow the combination below: all Mr. Hobby
Light Grey: 4 parts
Black: 1 part
Navy blue: 1/2 parts
Rough silver: 1 part.
Please add and mix the paint in the order I listed them in. User results may vary due to tiny differences in mixture, so please make sure to double check before painting (test on a plastic spoon) Thanks!
Thanks to @Xaxis for mentioning me!

Can anyone recommend a paint match for this figure's silver?
Thank you!

Was kinda hoping for a reissue of MP-36 close to the release of MP-44, to get a second copy.
Well, HLJ have him in stock with a slight discount, and I decided to go for it (while I'm outside the EU and can avoid import tax).

Plenty of other MPs on my to-buy list, but I'd rather have a second pristine copy of my favourite-ever first of all

Much appreciated. I enjoy your pictures as well. Love that movie poster!
I am eagerly awaiting 44, 45, 47 and 19+.
Awesome!

I have a slight abrasion on 36's left shoulder panel, I was wondering if Model Masters Aluminum would be a good base for touch up. I already have the paint based on another opinion in the board. Before I commit I just wanted a second opinion.
Sam
Do you just want faces from a v1 or would you be ok with swapping a whole v2 for a v1 @Jdk504?
Silvershot
Sure thing! Let me pack them up and get your addr- WAITAMINIT!!! You won’t get me with you Jedi mind tricks!

It’s one of those things that really presents itself when compared side by side – I’ll try to get a photo later. I never noticed it on my V1 until I got the MagTen release as well. The MagTen is colored just like V2. When looking at the V1 face, I don’t really notice a green tint, but when I have them side by side, it looks so obvious. I’ve compared it to a buddy’s V2 as well with the same results.
Here’s a photo I took of my V1 with MP-36+. I think the green tint actually shows up quite well in this photo:
