If you ever get a tablet, it's even better. You can read the comics at full size anywhere, and the colors are so vibrant because they're backlit. And you can carry an entire collection of hundreds of comics in something the size and weight of a single magazine.
edit: whoops, I just said pretty much exactly what Murasame did, and he did it more concisely.

Thanks, I am a huge comic fan but have not tried digital comics very much. I admit that while I was adding everything to my cart (41 titles), I was wondering how I was going to find the bookshelf space for all this. So I went ahead and purchased everything, and got the comixology app as well. Now I just need to worry about running out of space on my phone while reading, if there is a way to view the comics online without downloading then that could be useful when folks are running low on storage space. Anyways, I tried it last night and it was definitely good stuff. I can see the appeal of digital comics.

I read them on my Sony xperia Z2 Tablet. It's awesome! The size is like reading a real comic and it's ultra light-weight. So you can read comics either fullscreen or in guided view. Both rocks.

Transfusion, The Crow: Pestilence, The Crow: Curare, The Crow: Skinning the Wolves, The Crow: Death and Rebirth, Ghostbusters International Vol. 1 and I bought the Transformers Classics UK Vol. 1+2, but I think those two were not on sale. Some of the other collections were even cheaper. And I bought some individual issues that were on sale, like GB Int. #5+#8 (But #5 was included in the Collected Edition, which I did not know, because the description says #1-#4 ), also the Spotlight: Drift Director's Cut was on sale I think and was even cheaper with IDW discount, same for Ghostbusters: Con-Volution and Ghostbusters: Tainted Love.

Any difference in the quality between pdf or jpg? I'm assuming you have to choose which and don't have access to both beyond the sale. Adding to my cart now.
Well that was interesting. Would not let me use Paypal, had to sign up for Amazon payment. Now it doesn't even show Paypal as an option whereas before the option was there but no way to choose. Got my comics but that was more than a little wacko….

As someone who bought into both the humble bundle and the idw sale I can safely say that both have files for download. You can grab the pdfs or cbr…which is just a zip file with the extension changed, inside of which each page is a jpg.

Comixology lets you download a PDF. Pretty sure every TF comic has it, but to make sure look for this symbol:
View attachment 27627366
Hovering over it says something to the effect of "DRM-Free Backup"
Also, Sins of the Wreckers for $5, woo-hoo!
SouthtownKid
They were a separate company that sold themselves to amazon a couple years back.
They do do some DRM-free PDF download stuff, but that is mostly small indie publisher material. Actually, I don't know on which side of the fence IDW falls on that. I usually get IDW collections on iBooks.

Wait so was the Humble Bundle definitely pdf then? This is getting confusing.
How long has Comixology been in business? I know they're an Amazon offshoot but they seem relatively new.
SouthtownKid
No pdfs. The content is online.
Mega Convoy
The pdf's should be yours to download and keep shouldn't they? Or are they essentially just links to content you can only view online? Am I missing something?
SouthtownKid
Well, as long as you have an internet connection. And as long as Comixology stays in business. If they ever fold up for any reason, your entire collection with them goes POOF! like it never existed. I use Comixology a lot, but it definitely requires a measure of faith.

Imagine if paper comics were backlit and you could zoom in on details or make a single panel fill an entire page. Best of all, they never get dusty, torn, or stained. They don't take up any room and you can take your entire collection with you wherever you go. At least try one! You'll love it, especially if you have a tablet.
w1n1fred
which collections were they?
EightiesKid
Hmm, I just went through and identified a lot of stuff I want, my grand tally is 41 (!) titles. The discount is amazing. However, I had originally thought these would be paper copies of the comics. I haven't read much of the digital format comics. I'm now having some second thoughts.

My pleasure! It was on the front page, but I wanted to make sure everyone saw it. I got the TF Humble Bundle last year and I've been waiting impatiently for another one to come along…so cool to get SO MUCH CONTENT for so little, and it goes to charity! Humble Bundle also turned me on to Invincible when I picked up the Walking Dead bundle they did.
Good work!
Like I said, my list was just at a glance. Thankfully hardlurk's checklist covers all the bases – or so it would seem at a glance.

SWEET!
The Humble Bundle actually has almost everything that I needed to catch up. Thanks for posting that!

Any reason you didnt include Megatron Origins? I would highly recomend that one since it's currently referenced in the Titans Return Crossover.

I made a checklist which may or may not be useful to anyone other than me.
