Can't wait for the new line!

Awesome gun-mode, right there
What?

Pictured is the Shadowmaru remold of the G1 Sixshot, in just such an anti-aircraft turret/cannon configuration (G1 Sixshot and Hexatron can also both be configured in a similar way).
Doesn't seem to be anything here to suggest that the TR version would be unable to pull off a similar fan-mode… which might then be able to combine with the other TR figs, as you suggest.
Regardless, TR Sixshot just looks awesome!
I love my Terminus Hexatron – and having bought the Dazzling Glory Set, Stag Cleavers, and Reprolabels for him, I'd be reluctant to part with him now – but gosh if this had been around a couple of years back, MMC might've missed out on my money!
Now the only dilemma I'm facing is whether to jump at the Hasbro version, or wait and see what Takara comes up with. There isn't much I can see TT doing to improve on it – other than maybe painted hubcaps (even then, Reprolabels might sort that out), and white thighs instead of black. Anything else just seems like nitpicking of what is shaping up to be an absolutely fabulous figure!
Well done Hasbro!!!
Thundershot
No, they made Octane and Blitzwing and decided to retool them into Optimus and Megatron and release those first. Or at least that's what all logic seems to lead everyone to.
Stepper
I am quite surprise they come out with the idea of making triple changer Optimus Prime similar to Octane,am impress.

Since I haven't posted my thoughts since Cybertron Con:
– Hot Rod: My favorite of the figures revealed. I have been waiting for a great figure of Hot Rod for awhile now, and the Titans Return figure looks perfect and amazing. And the fact he's a Headmaster is just icing on the cake. I wonder what his Titan power will be…
– SixShot: Despite being a character that I really don't know all that well, SixShot is the second best figure revealed. All six of his modes come off decent, and the robot mode looks really good. I might skip Soundwave and just have SixShot be the Leader Class figure to fight Powermaster Optimus Prime.
– Optimus Prime: The robot mode is horrendous. It feels overly-detailed and trying to cram too much. The vehicle modes look alright. I'm going to stick with Powermaster Optimus Prime for now.
– Kickback: Looking nice. It looks like he will fit in well with the other two Insecticons.
– Fangry: Looking very nice. I'm really looking forward to these Decepticon TitanMasters.
– Swoop: It's awesome they're putting the Dinobots in TitanMaster form. I really want to see how he looks with Grimlock/Clobber.
So far, only Optimus Prime was bad, so I think this selection of reveals went pretty good.

The MO since CW has been to release the alternate characters for the mold first (CW Prime then Motormaster). One look at Alpha Bravo would say that mold was designed for Vortex. Same with Sentinel Prime and Astrotrain (though skipping TR Astrotrain).
So yeah that 'Prime will be Octane and I think that Megs will look so much better as Blitzwing (though I will likely just get the TT versions to go with LG Astrotrain)

I agree. But, I also hope they repaint Megs into Skytread (Flywheel), to give the current little head a real body.
shadowfall1976
No doubt they will. And I'm waiting.
Agregor
I honestly think they'll repaint Megs into Blitzwing and Optimus into Octane…
MartyFeeb
I just assumed it was some hokey comic version… but the new TR Drift is definitely better, imo. The Generations one was waaaaay bulky!
Actually, this line is RIPE FOR REPAINTS. We're getting so many damn extra heads, I find myself hoping for more bodies… even if they're just repaints.
With CW, every repaint became an exercise in eventual irritation… but the switchable heads here really add a lot. Now when I buy a second copy of a deluxe, I have the option to put a different mug on him (i.e. Brawn on Hardhead's body).
That "plane" mode is embarrassing, tho…
I hate OctaneOptimus with a passion, but… I can switch the head and still enjoy it for the body. Not sure what head I'll give him, but lord knows we have a ton of extra Titan Master heads floating around!
+1.
"Fan mode" bases look stupid as heck. I think official modes should look official, not like someone stood the figure on his head and spread the legs out.
Definitely STOP shoehorning more "features" that aren't there, Hasbro!
Hanzkaz
They did mention that the Leaders would have a base mode. I wondered how they were going to do that for Sixshot. I figured Hastak would go for some sort of fan mode approach, but the ramp thing's both simple and clever. If you can't turn the figure into a base, make it part of one.
Masktique
1. Sixshot is a Leader figure, so my best guess is around 8 inches.
2. Yep, definitely should be seeing him around Christmas, though your mileage may vary, depending on distribution.
Blitzwing21
A bit late to the party, but I'll throw in my 2 cents.
I am so happy that Hasbro are giving us a proper 6 changer Sixshot all these years later. I missed out on the G1 version as I had drifted away (no pun intended) from Transformers age-wise by the time it came out. I will definitely be getting the new release and he will occupy a place of honor in my den. I consider him the pinnacle of Transformers figures purely on the basis of his multiple modes.
A couple of questions:
1. Can anyone give me a guesstimate as to how tall he is in robot mode? I saw the picture and he is quite a bit shorter than the G1 figure and looks to be almost voyager sized.
2. Given the January release date, is it in the realm of the reasonable to assume that we should see Sixshot and his wave-mates at retail by Christmas?
IronMagnus
People seem to be ignoring my comment about this as well.
To answer your question, no those weren't on the original… those are ramp connection points for the base mode gimmick that Leader figures in this line enjoy. Optimus, Blaster, Soundwave… you know Overlord is gonna have it. Only fitting to let Sixshot integrate as well.
If you look at his "Tank" mode…
You'll see that they are positioned in a great spot to have him link up to a ramp from Trypticon, making him more of an anti-aircraft turret instead of a tank.
I'm sure we'll get some good fan-mode bases out of this guy too.
Cheebs
It's pretty obviously Octane. And it's pretty cool.
Cheebs
Ok Hasbro. Everything you messed up with Combiner Wars repainting the same car and jet 10,000 times whether it made sense or not…
…all is forgiven. Everything about Titans Returns is great. You are killing it. Keep it up.
BlackHawkOmega
Plus the Drift mold seems too bulky for a character like Blurr.
Hot Shot.
I actually really, really don't like the Drift repaint. It's a clunky, kibbletastic figure. The McCarthy head sculpt doesn't look like Blurr, and giving the one guy who can't sit still a sniper rifle of all things was beyond stupid. That said, the car mode was the figure's only strength.
People who collect 3P Masterpiece figures may collect Classics, but most people who collect Classics aren't 3P Masterpiece collectors. You're lumping two mostly different consumer groups together. 3P Blurrs are usually MP-scale and G1 model accurate, correct? That not what Classics has historically been about.
Being in the overlap of those two audiences doesn't mean you expect the same product style from both lines, anyway. People who have an unofficial MP Blurr may want a deluxe that fits in with their Classics, Universe, and Generations Autobots rather than a deluxe that looks like an inferior version of their MP.
I personally like having Hardhead turn into a SWAT tank. It's similar to what he turned into in IDW, which was the more memorable depiction of his character. The lack of remolding was the only major problem I had with it, and once you put the Headrobots head on it the design and deco really work as Hardhead.
I don't mind a soap Scourge being made since we already got a really good update, but the figure we actually did get looks poor in both modes, especially with none of the parts meeting flat in alt mode. The random square plates hanging off the front look exceptionally bad.
And you can't exactly reformat a robogator into a newer robogator, so I'm happy with the TR.
Universe Galvatron is disliked because it's a really shitty mess of an undersized figure, not because it turned into a tank. And on the other hand, the TR voyager had his head compromised for the gimmick while turning into a gappy, loose-fitting redesign of the G1 cannon mode.
TR OP is actually what I'm in argument for, since it turns into a modern-appearing semi.
I'm not sure what point you're trying to make anymore. You stopped reading what I was actually saying and started arguing against what you thought I said.
As long as it doesn't devolve into articulated Sunbow designs like Jamar wants, I agree.
