Machinima is sharing another Combiner Wars Prelude Video. This time it’s Windblade. And she’s pretty upset.
“Windblade, once an official ‘City Speaker’ to the gigantic ‘Titans’ is tired of the bureaucratic non-action of the Council, who seem to sit idly while her people and her cities on Caminus perish. She decides that the only way to end the Combiner Wars is to take matters into her own vengeful hands. The full series will be 8 episodes, coming to you Aug. 2!”
We’ve mirrored the official YouTube video after the jump as well. Enjoy!

YES.
Wow….
that was awful.
Windsweeper II
Winsblades pretty much the only good thing about the first episode: holy hellblade, she just slaughtered Menasor !!!
I had hoped Computron would at least get to do something, but it seems the producers thought he would best be served by falling from the sky, talking nonsense and being killed.
Menasor sounded… idiotic, really not a good voice for him.
All in all kinda what i had expected, Windblade does robot banshee from hell pretty good, so i like to follow her arc, but it doesnt seem this show will have much more going for it.

Hmmm… quite a departure from the comic book sources, it seems. It's like they're trying to make the 'Combiner Wars' a lot more epic than the perfunctory merchandizing crossover that they were.
I'm not a big fan of Windblade in general, and I find that I don't know how to feel about this version of the character. On the one hand, her whole "vengeful fury" schtick is sort of tired and overwrought. On the other hand, her actual comics portrayal is bland as hell.
Word.
And any time a character ever ends a monologue with "I am _______!" a writer somewhere deserves to get slapped.
Yup. It's irrational, but I guess they need some kind of rogue loose cannon to throw into the mix.
Laying it on a bit thick there aren't ya, buddy?
Putting it another way, the victims of violence and oppression can only suffer for so long, before they rise up, fight back against the authority that keeps them down, and demand justice or blood.
America was founded on this premise, even.

So Much Edge.
I hope the final battle is where Starscream uses nanomachines.
I don't think it's Wu but you never know. They haven't listed the cast yet, only Jon Bailey's Optimus is any recognizable.

Or he's just taking the more civil route. :/
I mean yeah that's not technically what agree to disagree means, but his point is that he doesn't want to argue about it. And that's fine.
jamarmiller
Nope ! Just not worth my time to argue, because you never win an argument. you/they have an opinion, great, I have one too, Im . No point in arguing about it, cause I am sure not going to change your/their mind .
Just rather talk about other things. Thank you !

Do you just say that whenever you don't like something but don't have a comeback?
jamarmiller
I actually really enjoy that part of Windblade , even though I dont read the comics. I love her character in Robots in Disguise cartoon .
Rodimus Prime
Pretty much. It was an excuse to try and make people care about the character and what she does.
Feralstorm
Based on the limited stuff from these previews, I'm thinking the 'full' animation of the series is going to remind me a lot of the Cybertron anime series bots.
jamarmiller
We're going to have to agree to disagree on that
Starscream Gaga
No, it was a way to incorporate the voted in "Telepathy" power of Windblade while keeping the massive expensive toy that was on the shelves at the time front and centre of the plot.
Starscream is the leader of Cybertron (albeit here he shares it with two others) and the war is over. That's pretty much as far as it goes. Windblade and Victorion clearly have extremely different roles in this story compared to the comics. It has influence from the comics, definitely, but it definitely appears to be very loosely based.
Not really, she was featured in a comic called "Combiner Hunters" which was advertising a set of toys that had that name on the box. In the comic itself none of the three did any hunting of combiners and the only reason they fought Victorion was because of a brief misunderstanding. This Windblade outside of her Camien and city speaking origins appears to be an entirely new character.

Disagree on what? He stated nothing but facts.
