Just last week, we heard the announcement of Josh Duhamel returning to the Transformers Live Action Movie Franchise with Transformers: The Last Knight. Director Michael Bay himself revealed this via his official website. Mr. Duhamel’s role of Lt. Colonel William Lennox is widely regarded by fans as one of the best human roles in the movie series. His Action Hero nature and swift decision making skills (“I’m gonna count to three”) may have been contributing factors.
Josh Duhamel sat down with Observer to tell the fans a little bit on what’s going on with Transformers 5:
“At the top of his work docket is, of course, his role as Lt. Colonel William Lennox in Michael Bay’s Transformers: The Last Knight. The day before we (Observer) spoke, Mr. Duhamel was stationed to film his scenes 70 miles outside of Los Angeles in El Mirage, California. “I had never been there and it’s a trip,” he said of the far flung locale. “It’s this giant, flat lakebed with 40 MPH winds that didn’t stop all day, but Michael [Bay]’s set is unlike any other set. He has all of the gadgets and the coolest stuff, and the energy of that set is just really – well, it’s a spectacle, and it’s really changed my career. It’s helped me to pursue other little creative things. I love the big Transformer movies, but I also love these passion projects.””
Tyrese Gibson (playing the role of Sgt. Robert Epps) and few others were present at El Mirage, California 10 years ago to film the first Transformers Live Action Movie (known to many as Transformers 2007). The location served as a part of the backdrop of Qatar where the U.S. military team was attacked by the sinister Scorponok.
As always, stick with TFW2005 for more Transformers: The Last Knight movie news.

He seems pretty excited to be back.
I think most people do, myself included.

Sam was *acceptable* for the first movie. But after that, all that "We need you Sam" was just a load of bull. And then changing his gf. Should've just been single and looking sad. But no, 2 and 3 should've focused on Lennox's civilian life with his wife and baby. Not much to go off of there, granted, but there's plenty other stuff to fill
Shark
I agree with you. After the first movie he should have been the lead, in my opinion. But alas.

After reading the bolded parts, I think we'll be seeing some set photos in the upcoming weeks.

A burning rash is better than Sam Witwicky.
LightningBlade3
Am I the only one who thinks he should've been the main protagonist instead of Sam? Sure we would've gotten more military stuff, but I personally loved NEST in ROTF and DOTM.
Sixshot93
Yep. Better than Sam Witwicky. (BUUURN!)

Lennox and Duhamel are awesome.

Good to hear from Josh!
So it begins, as they say …
