Following the reveal of the title for the 5th Michael Bay Transformers Live Action Movie, Hasbro has applied for a Video Game trademark for the same.
On May 19th, United States Patent & Trademark Office has received the official filing of Transformers: The Last Knight video game. The Trademark description is identical to all the previous Transformers related video game trademarks including Rise Of The Dark Spark.
The Trademark is categorized under the following:
- Mark (in words): TRANSFORMERS LAST KNIGHT*
- Serial Number: 87043216
- Filing Date: Thursday, 19th of May 2016
- Status: New application will be assigned to an examining attorney approximately 3 months after filing date.
- Status Date: Monday, 23rd of May 2016
- Class Status: ACTIVE
- Description: “Interactive entertainment software, namely, computer game software, computer game cartridges, computer game discs; interactive multimedia computer game programs; downloadable game software for use in connection with computers, communication devices and mobile telephones; pre-recorded laser and video disc featuring an animated cartoon series”
*Usually the word “The” is omitted from Trademarks.

I wouldn't count on it. While High Moon is technically still around, its a lot more smaller after all the layoffs it experienced after the Deadpool game was released. High Moon, more or less, just ports games nowadays. And after Rise of the Dark Spark, with people thinking it was a sequel and all, I don't think we're going to see a return to the Cybertron games anytime soon. There could be hope out there for a sequel but it's very small, unfortunately.
EDIT: Personally, I'd like to see War and Fall of Cybertron get ported to the PS4 and Xbox One.

I'd hope it'd be a step up from ROTDS, Let's hope it's not a rehash of the Highmoon playstyle, or Devastations style, something new, hopefully.
Though it might just be mobile bile, then I won't need to give it a second thought.

Well, I'm gonna be optimistic and hope that it really can only go uphill from Dark Spark. Give me a WFC style game at worst and we're good.

As long as Activision is in charge I don't feel happy. ROTF was great but Luxoflux got closed, FOC was good but High Moon has bee reduced to porting CoD.

I hope that the game's story will be similar to how DOTM was made in terms of bridging AOE and TLK more and bring the good parts of both WFC and FOC's gameplay into here. Like others said it'd be great if it was console too.

Hopefully its PC/Console game. Mobile games are not bad, but the way the TF Games for mobile are designed (with a few exceptions) is horrible.
As always, the same problem: Time. Less than one year to develop a game…
However, lets get some hope. If they change the guys that made RotDS everything will be ok.

I too hope it's a console game. I know it probably won't be that good, but if it's at least decent, I'd want to play it.
Edit: That is, assuming it's not another ROTDS. Heck, I would accept a reskin of FOC, just make it complete this time (and preferably with better character models).

Movie games do seem to be shifting towards mobile nowadays, but I too hope this is a console deal.
And I would prefer if it's not Reused Assets: The Game this time.
