Our sponsors Robot Kingdom have posted some new color images of the Unique Toys Sworder on their Facebook page. Sworder is an unofficial version of Generation 1 Sandstorm, and is scaled to fit in with Masterpiece Transformers. It’s a pretty cool looking release, though the car mode seems to suffer a little for the helicopter mode. It’s reported that Sworder will be available later this month, so this appears to be a look at the finished product. Check out the new images after the break.

So I transformed my (presumably) reissue copy from ShowZ to car mode this evening, and it turns out mine doesn't have the defect! The side panels have slots for the wheel well tabs, and everything (eventually) fit together properly. So maybe the entire reissue batch isn't affected, who knows.
Kudos to this transformation video for helping me through the process:
Robyn The Dragon
I ended up paying like $100 for one on Ebay only a couple of months before the reissue and had completely forgotten about the Sworder PO I had on ShowZ. Since it was so cheap, I just got another one so I could have one to play with and pose without worry of breaking a (at the time) 'rare' figure.
I haven't even opened the new one yet. Probably should considering the short window I may have for getting replacement parts should something be messed up.
The Happenin Rhinoceros
Got mine in yesterday and he had no instructions and, more importantly, no swords. Checked everywhere, but all he has is a wheel and a gun. SWORDER has no swords…epic fail
Out of curiosity, can anybody enlighten me as to where the swords should have been since I didn't notice a place for them in the clamshell?
Goldchains
Woo let’s go. Got him in today.

Robot mode is pretty good. The waist seems off and the forearms are a little long but very sturdy.

Transformation from robot to helicopter was a pleasant experience.

armored car mode….not so much. Newer model of course so it had those errant tabs. Nothing a little snip snip shave shave didn’t correct. Don’t like having to do that for something I paid good money for, but ah well the result is worth it.

Mirrors weren’t painted on this one either. Probably another running change.
One of my personal grails achieved. An angel is getting their wings somewhere.

Thank you just what I was jumping in here to find out!

He's referencing me! It's fine,I don't care! You do you! As I said, I personally won't destroy a figure. I don't care how big or small a task it is. I looked and if they were to fix it, replacing it is a piece of cake. You make it seem like it'd be so horrible. It wouldn't. In any case… It's fine. Its not gonna get fixed and it is what it is. I'm over the ordeal. I'm dealing with it and that's that. Moving right along. Be well!
MegaMoonMan
Nothing past the first paragraph was directed at you personally, look at the past few posts for context.

Wow man. I just asked a question. I'm no stranger to modifying parts to make stuff work. I was mainly asking because the fender section doesn't tab in itself, it just has the tab from the wheel, and if it didn't hold solidly I was probably going to go the route of cutting slots rather than tabs.
Have fun jumping on people that ask questions though.
MegaMoonMan
It's completely solid. Every mode is a brick, there are tabs upon tabs holding each together, if anything it's TOO solid. They are not seen in any mode, after cutting you won't ever think about them being missing ever again.
I cannot fathom going through the hassle of multiple emails, trying for refunds and shipping things back rather than just cutting off two. small. tabs. Even if you DID get replacement parts, you're going to have to rip everything apart to replace them, which is FAR more work with an added chance of breaking something. No thank you.
I would be stunned if the factory went through and fixed the molds for such a thing when the fix is simple and easy. This thing is way past end of life already, dumping more money into this mold isn't smart in any way, I can't believe they reissued in the first place. The copies are already made, it's a done deal. Complaining about it is a waste of time for everyone involved. Nobody cares at this point.
This is your friend. Takes two seconds.
Rath
How secure are those sections without it being tabbed in? I know the orange piece underneath helps keep it there, but is it pretty solid, or is it just 'yeah it kind of rests there, don't bump it too hard'?
TFXProtector
My guess is they intended to remove the slot and the tabs but a miscommunication between the leads and the factory floor led to this. Snip the tabs (I know, you really shouldn't have to) and move on. It's honestly not worth it for this to make or break the figure for you. He has enough problems on his own that this tab/slot thing shouldn't add to it.
Gshell
I mean…. cutting the tabs off fixes it. They may have not included the tab slot because they felt they didnt need it. Though I wish they would redo the arms and make them more proportionate and make the "hips" sink into the actual hips… Then he would be a lot better in robot mode. The altmodes are pretty good. Robot mode is alright but just those 2 things throw it off.

Hahaha. I'm about to give up myself. LOL I got an email back from Tony with Robo and I truly think there is a language barrier. The piece he sent me a picture of as a fix is not even close to what I was hoping to get back for a fix. I sent over more picutures hoping to show better what I'm trying to explain. I had to go back to old reviews to try to find an image of the figure with how it should look compared to what it looks like now. It's not a BAD figure and yes there's a lot going on… but I don't like cutting figures so if this doesn't get resolved, maybe it wasn't meant to be and I'll just send it back for a refund and wait for a better figure in the future. haha.. this hobby. I might be silly for not cutting but that's just me. Oh well.
Edit: Also, for those who have the problem, you should really email your retailer back and at least let them know. Tony is trying to tell me I'm mistaken because no one else is complaining. He thinks I'm having a problem because it's a hard transformation. No…that not the problem there is a molding problem. LOl.. Whether your cutting your figure or not, please email your retailer and at least let them know. UT needs to know there is an issue in order to fix it.
Gshell
So I got this guy and uh.. it seems mine is missing both tab slots on the sides for the front of the car mode wheels. Is anyone else having this issue? I see the 2 black tabs… I could cut them off, would it affect the car mode? Then transformation is not that bad. *EDIT* nvm went and read the page before this one. I will cut the tabs off on mine.
MegaMoonMan
Got mine today, took 10 seconds to snip the tabs off. They definitely are not needed.
What a nightmare transformation, good god. This thing would be so much better repainted into someone else, the modes are good but I can't not see the weinermobile in these colors.
TFC201482
I should be receiving a pic soon from Robotoybase. I emailed Tony last night for an update and he said he got word back and will be sending me a photo soon. I guess so I can confirm the fix… We'll see what they provide and I'll report back soon.
Rath
Looking forward to what you find out before I make any attempt to cut anything.
Kain124
Honestly I didn't think he was that bad, sure having pieces flopping on one end whole working to transform the other end is a pain, but really the only issue.
TFC201482
I'll know more next week. UT is supposed to be sending parts to Robo Toy Base, I'm curious what they'll provide for a fix. I'd rather the company provide parts that have been fixed so I can simply replace the wrong part. To each their own.

this guy had a rep as the worst transformation back in the day. Been wondering how people feel about him now with the kind of nonsense XTB and FT get away with on a regular basis
