We previously reported that the Cyber Battalion Optimus Prime and Starscream toys – initially released in overseas markets only – had popped up on Ebay bearing “Universal Studios Exclusive Product” stickers. Now, via TFW2005 member jl52574, we can report that as of last Saturday, May 7th, that Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida has begun to stock these park exclusives (in the US). According to jl52574’s report, the asking price on these was $32.95 plus tax, and the only two being stocked were Starscream (who we previously saw) and Bumblebee (who we didn’t see, but probably should have seen coming). These have also been reported as being out in the Singapore Universal Studios theme park care of TFW2005 member zephon.

Hey does anyone have a couple spare starscreams
Optimus_Prowl
Theyre also out over here at the hollywood universal as well. They have optimus, starscream, and bumblebee, no megatrons or grinlocks yet. Theyre the same price at both parks.

So, here's a dumb question – does anyone remember the slightly different Cyber Commander Optimus that came out around the same time? Even for being simplified I always thought he had a really neat design, and I was kinda hoping he'd make his way stateside. Maybe if Universal gets those soon I'll take the plunge.
I'm also super glad a friend of mine got me Evac when he did, I LOVE that mold.
netkid
Evac is still available at the universal store link I posted above.
Autovolt 127
I agree with you.
Evac probably sold out? or they needed something new.
AutobotAlvaron
I agree completely, NetKid, these would sell great at those stores. I'd really like to get the more G1-like Optimus, but import/EBAY prices are exaggerated for what these things are- oversized, glorified Legends toys. $15.00 at Family Dollar etc. would be perfect for these.
If only Hasbro added some simple knees and a little paint, they'd be perfect for "everyday" use/play.
netkid
These things should be sold at places like Big Lots and other national discounters like Family Dollar, Dollar General, Christmas Tree Shop, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Ross, etc.
They are bargain type toys at best and seem fit for a child's outdoor sandbox.
For $30 a piece, Universal deserves better Transformes products to sell. What happened to deluxe-class Evac? He should be an evergreen staple product to sell alongside their ride.
This is a toy worth being an overpriced $30 park item:

These go for about 15 bucks on Taobao. But you have to pay shipping and thats where it turns in to 30 quick.
I ordered an optimus because i collect them. I really cannot wait to get him in. If they were easier to get here on mainland for less than 35 then i could see people getting them and working them over.
Lord Dcast
Yeah one problem with that; partsforming…ugh…
Robert Snoke
i think the Kabaya kits made these guys better by straight up turning them into crack pairing combiners.
Fenrir Zero
Lets see…
Parking is around $20. Entry to the park is around $100. Two meals, at the very least is $30. That is $150 right there if you avoid buying any drinks, candy, etc. So if I was going there and had a budget of $200, I would at the very least buy myself a Starscream.
LegoLover58
$32.95!? Screw that!
Haywired
Yeah. And considered that his gun is partsforming and it just pegs in into his arm, he'd be banal to redo as a G2 Meg…
… but not at $32+
ma70er
Megatron looks like he'd be a fun project to hack up and add articulation to.
netkid
$33+Tax! they're outta their f'in minds!
Citricon
I saw them there yesterday. On the bottom of Bee's box, it shows Grimlock. On the bottom of Starscream's box, it shows Megatron.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA No. Just…No.

I think these Cyber guys were pretty neat, I wish they at least made 1 more Decepticon, so it feels more balanced.
