Paramount has hired cinematographer Jonathan Sela to work on Transformers 5.
Mr. Sela had previously worked on projects such as A Good Day To Die Hard and Max Payne as well as music videos such as Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball”. His previous connection To Transformers includes the fact that he was a cinematographer for Greenday’s “21 Guns” which was part of the soundtrack of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen and went onto become one of the most successful songs from the band.

And those are Devastator's balls.
Hazekiah
All right, fine…let's do this, I guess.
Ugh.
Well, firstly, you misspelled Uwe's name. Secondly, if he WAS in charge of continuity I'd judge his work fairly on its own merits. And spell his name right.
I also wouldn't trash talk him while completely confusing his actual profession with a totally different one.
So WHO'S the "insane gibbering moron" in this scenario again?
Jus09
Pot, meet kettle. Or in this case, pot meet insane gibbering moron
Burnout00012
Funny how the two Burnouts of this site are polar opposites on movie news!
Hazekiah
THANK YOU.
OMFG, I swear…it's like people here go OUT OF THEIR WAY to misunderstand the simplest things just so they can shit the place up for no reason.
Ugh.

Exactly. I have no fued with autobot burnout lmao. He is just extremely negative on every single piece of information. I mean, it is his opinion to be so, but he hates these films with such a passion I just find it funny now.
Burnout00012
We're just tired of his nigh-constant negativity on every single movie thread, even the simplest of things like the announcing of a cinematographer.
Shark
Oh. My. God.
transformervic1
It makes me chuckle to see people actually have a negative reaction to this. A cinematographer's responsibility is to capture the director's vision in the best way possible. The cinematographer himself has absolutely nothing to do with story. That's more so the director of cinematography, and even there, the DP's job is to help the director in the direction of a shot. Little to do with story telling.
Just a little info for those interested
DOTM Bumblebee
If only Starscream was still alive in the movies to do this.
Hazekiah
"Wrecking Ball" was directed by Terry Richardson, not this guy. He was the cinematographer, and the video looked great. As did everything else I've seen that he worked on.
No worries whatsoever!
Ephland
I've watched it hundreds of times, never found it to be pervy.
griffn29
Though that was probably directing, not cinematography. As Michael Bay is still directing, how different could the choice of cinematographer affect the finished product?
Macross7
Devestator had some wrecking balls. Maybe he's back and Miley Cyrus will be swinging on them.
griffn29
He was the person who directed "Wrecking Ball", isn't that a little concerning at all just because that video was sort of pervy?
XXLMagnus
Haha, as if Bay disproves my theory ….
Zhadow
Um,
Afterburner
His resume sounds perfect, lol.
QLRformer
The guy who did John Wick, Limitless, Die Hard 5 and Max Payne. Nice choice.
