Couple of days ago we brought you the news of Hasbro’s new initiative “Factory Of Wonder“. It’s a Travelling Trade Show showcasing Hasbro products until year 2017. Based on reports received, this includes a sneak peek of Transformers 5 toys and movie pre-production materials as well.
The first show was held in UK on March 10th and Hasbro has announced the date for the second show which will be in Spain.
On April 23rd, the gates will open and a selected audience will be admitted (mostly investors) to watch a sneak peek of what’s to come.
More details will be available on the Official Website and you can check of the Spanish promotional video, after the jump.

I might be annoyed about the idea of a Play Dough movie but then again we were able to make a movie about Legos work so who knows?
Also I do hope Hasbro understands eventually that the movies aren't going to keep them afloat forever. If they just focus on doing the current story they're doing first that would be for the best.
Autovolt 127
I have to agree.
We're gonna need a hard reboot sooner or later.
WishfulThinking
Hasbro Events, huh? Sounds like they will probably be running the Official Transformers Convention in house instead of licensing again.

What God Ginrai said is exactly what the Play Doh movie is trying to do. It's trying to copy the Lego Movie's reason for success.

unless… BW movies?!

I'm a fan of the movies and their toys, I have spent far more on it all than I should've. that said, I think giving the movies this kind of a hard push is a bad idea.
Variety really is the spice of life and you can only go on one path for so long before it comes to an end. We're coming to that end.
G1 did the same thing, it ran for as long as it could, they manipulated the casts, the gimmicks, the ideas and it still came to an end. BW brought it back from the dead and it just kept going because they kept changing it up.
The movieverse is finite, it will finally hit a wall/end and there might not be another BW waiting in the wings.
Just not a great idea. I can't see it ending well.

I was talking about the Play-Doh Movie, Not Transformers
Autobot Burnout
LEGO movie was all about the fact it was a world made of toy bricks and didn't even remotely take itself seriously.
If you didn't know Transformers was mainly a toy line, you would be hard pressed to believe the movies were long-ass toy commercials between all the gratuitous human death and overabundance of human drama.
God Ginrai
Hasbro in general wants to duplicate the success of Disney while failing to duplicate what made people like the MCU and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
eagc7
they want to duplicate the success of the Lego Movie, a movie which nobody thought could work, yet it did.
Lady Slipstream
I can imagine the play doh as beign dough aliens… that could take any form they want, and that the air of the earth dry them… LOL
Haywired
Movie about Play-Doh…
Okayyyy…
…
Thank you for making my day, Hasbro.
Much appreciated.
Yup. The only time when the corporate meddling should be executed, it wasn't. Lol.
God Ginrai
Ok, someone please explain to me how a movie about fucking Play-Doh can work.
Hasbro apparently doesn't live in the same reality as the rest of us. Did they seriously already forget how badly the Jem and the Holograms move crashed and burned?

It would work as a period piece, alternate dimension or combined with Transformers. Unfortunately in my opinion Gi-joe is not updatable.

Do you honestly think G.I. Joe, with it's anti-terrorist aspect and nationalist-theme, would survive today? Even if the movies never happened, Joe never had a chance. It's a shame, because it's got a lot of great ideas in it, and some awesome designs.
As for the Transformers movies, if they extend into the cartoon realm, I'm done with Transformers. I'm not going to stand by as a fan and watch people judge the brand off of a shitty fan-fiction.
Goldner needs to leave Hasbro. He is a threat to the franchise, and will damage Hasbro beyond repair. He's trying to make it a Multimedia company, not a Toy company, which is what it is. Look how well The Hub turned out, they sure have a lot of good points on their resume, huh?
And let's not forget Play-Doh. How the fuck is that supposed to be a story? Is it some shitty kid-flick where the characters have to fight a 4-Kids like enemy, who threatens friendship and the stereotype of "good"?
Someone on here posted something along the lines of, "Hell has a special place for Goldner and Bay". That statement couldn't be more accurate as to our situation.
And so begins our new Dark Age.

Agreed. But that's American business these days. Lay around collecting licensing fees or litigation payouts. It's about as sustainable as an economy where everybody sells each other hamburgers. But if you stuff your pockets and get out of Dodge before it all comes crashing down…
