For the first time ever, Botcon has announced one of the attendee figure before the launch of the show. This exclusive figure is Beast Wars Terrorsaur, which uses the Combiner Wars Airraid mold with a new head sculpt. This figure is free for anyone who bought the Primus Package or Golden Ticket. If the announcement of this figure is enough to change your mind about going, it looks like there is still time to register for the show on April 7-10.

Let me rephrase that; it holds together fine and doesn't fall apart, but the tabs don't quite lock in.
Still a great toy, no doubt about it. Best triple changer Hasbro has done, but still.
Maybe its just my toy. The windscreens and side panels are the biggest offenders, BTW.

Then you aren't putting it all together correctly for either mode (I own a Springer).
Lord Black Cat
Would Protoform X even be public knowledge? If science fiction shows have taught me anything, it's that the government would cover up any cloning events that create cannibalistic and unkillable monsters.
Lord Dcast
It holds together, but the tabs always seem to be slightly apart from one another.
Lady Slipstream
My Springer's alt modes hold very well together… weird
G.B. Blackrock
You are WAY overthinking this, and pretty much just LOOKING for things to complain about at this point. Please, can we move on to something else?
Verno
And secret orders wouldn't include loading the giant stasis pod onto the ship in broad daylight for all to see.
Markdelg
Secret orders are secret orders. Primal was told to keep Protoform X a secret from his crew. Even if Cheetor bugged him about it, Primal was not going to reveal anything about it.
G.B. Blackrock
I never call them "free," even in the context of being an add-on for BotCon attendees (where the term might at least by arguably correct). I think "incentive figure" communicates far more accurately.
Lord Dcast
Ooh. A repaint I never knew I wanted…except for the fact that Springer's alt modes don't hold together as well as I'd have hoped. Oh well. Still a nice idea.
Gryph
You don't even need to give it a new head. Springer's head actually makes a pretty good Dinobot. Someone did a pretty good custom of it.

In this instance with Airazor, it's introducing the concept of Sparks and the birth of Cybertronian life. By going back and retconning Airazor to have been around on Cybertron before the Beast Wars, it kills all the importance of the event both in terms of story and in terms of the mythos.
Chose to ignore? Cheetor is the hyperactive kid of Beast Wars. He'd be bugging Primal with questions about it if he knew it was on board. He's not the kind of character that would choose to ignore anything!
Haywired
Seriously, just ignore the book. It's as "canon" as IDW Regeneration was, and very likely it doesn't even exist in the same universal stream with real Beast Wars.
Just take it as a yet another FunPub fanfic and move on.Within few years or so this thing will be obscure enough to take it even less serious.
Markdelg
Yeah, I'm not quite understanding what the problem is by showing Protoform X's stasis pod. It's not like anyone except Primal knew what was inside it anyway.
And Airazor was a secondary character at best whose sole existence was based on the idea that for some reason the Maximals needed a female member to counter Blackarachnia, which wasn't really necessary.

No that's just your opinion of it. Cheapening, diluting, whatever other other words you want to use to describe it, that's fine. It's not the truth of it though. It adds layers to the mythos adding more to the characters used. You just don't seem to like that. Also, fine. Unless they were incredibly different than before though, they're getting a second (some, third) life. What about that image doesn't sit right with you? Wasn't X on board? If Primal's crew (Rattrap and Cheetor) chose to ignore the giant markings, that just pins them as irresponsible as we know them to be. Layers.
Lord Dcast
Hm…if Tarantulas is available on Ebay for less than $100 that's fine…I'll get one. But the rest of the heads just don't work on CW bodies. BW has a very particular organic design that just doesn't work on this. AT ALL.
Verno
In Airazor's case, it ruins the importance of the birth of the character.
'The Spark' was a revolutionary episode, introducing Sparks. We get Rhinox talking us through their importance, and in a single episode, Beast Wars became more than just a kids show — it becomes fully-fledged sci-fi for all ages.
Retconing the story so that Airazor was alive on Cybertron before the Beast Wars spoils this.
Oh, and then there's this:
Markdelg
Exactly. So they decided to make a retcon where instead of Tigatron and Airazor being new creations from protoforms, they were actually reincarnated from previous lives. It isn't really that big a deal, especially since they seemed to have no memory of their previous lives anyway.

Compliment is exactly what the 06 comic does. It's fine to dislike it but to discount it isn't right. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou…-8Lw_a2f7ShRHVktw&sig2=kr1VjLL1zawelOGgR0dFQg

I've seen a few auctions for $500 for the Predacus set, including the attendee figure for free. Mind, those were before the figure was known.
And yeah, I paid $90 for the Machine Wars Starscream I got. Those "free" toys are anything but in the land of aftermarket prices.
