Thanks to TFW2005 member and former News Staff member Red Goblin for sharing with us some Transformers movie concept art from Industrial Light and Magic, which is the company that worked on the CGI visuals for all four previous live-action Transformers films. This newly revealed concept art includes concepts used in both Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Transformers: Age of Extinction. Art from the third film’s production features the design for Cybertron’s surface used in the opening battle scene. The concept art for the fourth film includes illustrations of Drift, the KSI Trax Decepticon, Lockdown walking ahead of his Knightship, and the ships of the mysterious Creators looming over a prehistoric Earth. Check out all of the art after the jump!

That Drift is pretty AWESOME

Tman978
that first Drift looks like a Titan hero
Megastar
concepts always looks better than the finished products.
Incepticon
Compared to most concept art, this is ten levels of meh. Like the movies.
mondo
I would buy an orange and black repaint of movie Drift and name it (TFA) Prowl
Veritas Prime
The concept art for looks amazing.
Hazekiah
Yeah, aside from multiple examples they never did that, lol.
Also, the tentacles are still in the movie.

They may have thought about it as to why or how that would make sense when the ships are at warp or however they traverse space. The tentacles would be flapping in the breeze so to speak.
They've never actually covered space ships propulsion outside of space bridge tech and the weird personnel meteor transit. Well, dark matter drives.
Hazekiah
The tentacles are still on the ships of The Creators in the film, during the railway museum scene when Optimus & Hound recount the cyberforming of Earth and other planets.
Lord Tron
Nice, Cybertron looks awesome so much detail to it, I'm probably going to watch that scene in super slow mode just to see how much you can find.
The creators are the quintessons they may not entirely look like them but it's pretty clear they are based off of them, I wonder if they took out the tentacles because they felt it made their identity too obvious. Finally that concept art of the knightship once again reminds me how huge that thing was.
Ironhide1234
I want moar Cybertron.
Dark Skull
I was just about to say that, except I kinda like the color scheme. Perhaps if it was all black chrome?
transformervic1
I think I like Drift's concept here more than the final product. The only thing is the color scheme. Conflicts too much with Bumblebee's "evasion" colors.
QLRformer
Awesome concept art of the space vistas.
Hazekiah
Yeah, I wish more people picked up on that design element of the ships.
Instead everyone's all "Do you think The Creators will be the Quintessons?" and I'm just sitting here in a corner by myself like "Um, they already ARE the Quintessons," lol.
Russian fan
Amazing!
Interesting, that we never saw this tentacles on Creators ships in space, they release them only during harvesting metal. And also in the Film ships are slightly asymmetrical. Maybe that's because with this tentacles and big head the ship reminds quintesson's silhouette from cartoons!
eagc7
they said in the AOE special features that the cars were actually sold off before filming started, which forced them to use the blue cars instead
TFFan01
Where did you find these?
Hazekiah
As I recall, according to the bonus features/commentary tracks, the original designs were based on the orange-and-black Veyron, but then it was sold midway through production so they changed color schemes to match another, more available model.
