Hot on the heels of trademark news last week, United States Patent & Trademark Office is providing us details of another Transformers related Trademark by Hasbro.
This new trademark is a completely new name to the franchise.
- Trademark Name: Flip Racers
- Trademark ID: 86918464
- Trademark Status Date: 02/29/2016
- Trademark Details: Toy action figures, toy vehicles and toy robots convertible into other visual toy forms.
While we do not know the specific meaning of this trademark, Hasbro has previously developed a gimmick similar to the name (See news post image). Flip & Attack Spider Racer for the Amazing Spider-Man movie is a Transformer like vehicle capable of transforming to Spider-Man mode from it’s vehicle mode. It is possible that the idea had come from the G1 subline Transformers: Jumpstarters.
Currently, we do not know when we’ll see this Trademark developed into figures or whether this will be a potential Transformers 5 trademark, Robots In Disguise trademark or a new unknown one altogether.

No Topspin and Twin Twist?
Autovolt 127
Well Then. Nevermind.
jmc2915
i would like to see different names for these characters, but still resembles the look of these characters
Windsweeper II
Good idea, i had been thinking about those guys too.
jmc2915
i would definitely welcome updated versions of topspin & twin twist. but i would also like to see some decepticons. maybe a new character that is based off the 1994 g2 Argentina robot-man-x or the z figure

Fort Max
People are being very quick to assume this means new versions of the jump starters but "flip racers" has got shelf clogging pocket money movie tat written all over it.
Windsweeper II
Honestly i don't care how they do it, be it a simple flipchange transformation like the G1 toys but Topspin and Twintwist need updated toys with decent articulation preferably in Deluxe size.
Johntimus Prime
Oh hey Jumpstarte — oh they're Marvel characters. Eeeeeehhh.
optimusmegas
I'd say it's not because this is for a United States patent and those toys are being sold exclusively in europe, the middle east, asia, and africa.
Plus we knew about those coming back in January
CypherZero
Jumpstarters are making a comeback, yay! Hopefully, they'll release a modernized version of Topspin and Twintwist.
Well, let's look at it this way, at least they're not bringing out the Battlechargers!
Bass X0
They were cheap so yeah, they get a pass. At least they looked better than the one step toys we get today. Also, nobody ever complains about the "unfold legs, stand up" transformation that some toys have.
DJW107PRIME
If we get sum of dat sweet sweet twintwist and topspin jumpstarter action I'm good.
scrapmetaru
I believe they call that non-scented shit. Of course, non-scented shit is false advertising, but whatever.
Autovolt 127
I'm guessing it's the Simba-Dickie toys they just revealed?
Turakonin Prime
Fingers crossed new but nostalgic tributes to twintwist and topspin would be so badass
optimusmegas
so let me see if i get this….
one step changers=hazblow kiddy crap that clogs shelf space
flip racers=awesome so happy to have cuz they're kinda like jumpstarters
…..
T-Logicon
New jumpstarters?
Yes please.
l0te
Please tell me someone else is amused that these guys are basically jack-knifed and speeding around crotch-first
artiepants
I'd all but guarantee these will be for the TF5 line.
WishfulThinking
Probably the new class of "One-Step Changers". While I'd love me some Jumpstarters, I can see it as Optimus, BB, Drift, etc. etc. rather than unique characters like Topspin and Twin Twist.
