Via their Facebook page, Planet X has updated us with their latest upcoming project in grey prototype form, Fall of Cybertron-style Optimus Prime! Known for their dedication to the Cybertronian designs from the High Moon games, Planet X doesn’t miss a beat with their take on the beefed-up Autobot leader. Along with being larger than the deluxe version, this take on Prime has a bit more accurate detailing such as the broader chest and energon vent on his back. He also seems to have a bit more articulation than the official version and a more involved transformation. As far as accessories go, he comes with a game-accurate Path Blaster that fits over his hand and part of his forearm for a more “connected” look between the weapon and its wielder, as well as a game-accurate sword that was used in his battle with Megatron.
No pre-orders are listed yet, but in the meantime, be sure to check out the pics we’ve mirrored after the jump!

Does anyone know who is still selling the original version of this, or have one for sale?

Painted the eyes. Don't care about game accuracy. They got lost in the metallic deco.

Aight so this is my first experience with a Planet X fig but why has no reviewer mention the brittle plastic?? I saw a lot of people mentioning it here but it was only after i got mine.. little peg was already snapped off right out of the box.

Has anyone received their PX-10C metallic edition yet? I'm curious to see if it's any different from the previous PX-10B version.

Same here, thought I wasn't going to get it

My metallic Jupiter reissue just shipped from Show Z.

I have both versions. I'd advise against the metallic if you plan to transform it more than once or twice. It's a great looking display piece, but Planet X made no allowances for the altered tolerances of the added paint layers (which itself is solidly applied and not chip-prone.) Transformation is an utter beast compared to the original. I have two copies of the metallic and they're equally nerve-racking to mess with.
It's the pearlescent plastics. Looks great, beautiful satin sheen, but it's an inherently weak mix that can separate and discolor over time. Definitely not sunlight nor extreme temperature friendly.

That sucks. I would maybe get him back into robot mode and try super gluing the piece on and maybe never transforming him again.
I have the metallic version and have never transformed him. I’m more worried about breakage than paint chipping. It seems the plastic Planet X uses is very brittle and prone to breaking. Which is too bad because the figure designs are very well done.

Well, it happened. Just started transforming my Planet X Jupiter back into robot mode, and the side panel for the leg completely snapped off. I'm thinking of getting the metallic version but I'm worried about all the paint chipping. Any help or any alternatives would be greatly appreciated View attachment 29622178

Whats the difference between the PX-10C and PX-10B? TFsource only has the C in stock but I couldn't find much about it or comparisons to the others. Is it just a reissue of the B or does it have different colours?

If anyone is interested I am looking to sell the regular version of this guy. Transformed just twice and complete with no damage (but no box). Please shoot me a PM if interested.
You can also check my feedback thread linked in my profile.

Total longshot here but does anyone have the regular version of Jupiter they're trying to sell?

Just got this guy today, my first Planet X figure and I can't get enough of him. I've always loved the designs from the WFC and FoC games and happy I finally had enough extra cash to start grabbing them!
Just a question for anyone who may know though, where can I get the WFC/FoC faction symbols? I attached a picture of what I'm talking about, I can't find them anywhere but see them all over!

Can anyone else be so kind as to give additional reviews of this figure so I can justify dropping the $109 on it? Anyone that's bought the metallic and hasn't given their thoughts yet? Haven't bought a planet x figure in a while and my Pluto needs his nemesis.
Well now since Planet x shockwave is going to be out soon, hopefully the FOC era isn't anywhere near done

Can anyone point me to where I can get autobot symbols in the style of the game for this figure? Usually I go with Toyhax, but the only thing they have that resembles what I'm looking for are the HoloGlow strickers…

I appreciate that advice I’ll give it a try and return.

Let’s see. Try transform the leg like this.

And the putting flat on the table like this while also having your fingers inside the part so you don’t move any other part while pressing.
View attachment 28704437
Course, if you’re scared anything will break, I’d probably find some lubricant to help remove the parts and figure out how to make them not crap.
To better convey the figure part (note I transformed the calves to better show where my fingers would be)

Same applies to the other end of the same part and the rest of the pistons on the other leg.

Their Apocalypse was literally a disaster for them. Virtue signalling has always been easier than doing the real thing.

We could always try to do a petition. However, you may have a point if people don’t buy they may not have the incentive

It's sad to see the end of an era. I don't think PX will make anymore FoC figures given how quickly their items get discounted nowadays.
Too many talkers not enough buyers.
