Third party group Gcreation, known for their unofficial Dinobot combiner Shuraking, has revealed on their Facebook page plans for a Masterpiece sized Optimus Prime and Prowl from their IDW appearances, for now labled GDW01 and GDW02.
We currently only have one image of prototypes that are in low lighting, so details are sparse for the time being. What we do know is this project will be Masterpiece scaled, no price has been determined yet, and this will not delay the progress of Shuraking (a sigh of relief for those finishing that line).
We have two threads to discuss the projects, you can find “Prowl” talk right here, and “Optimus Prime” talked right here. Check it out after the jump.

Is this in stock anywhere? Or is anyone looking to let there’s go? lol

I was really hyped for their Drift, But I suppose thats scrapped as well.

Be mindful when rotating the shoulders, grab them as close to the body as possible. They’re pretty tight if I recall, and are on somewhat thin support structures.
Since this thread was bumped, I wanna say, I hope they rerelease this guy one day, maybe with some shinier paint. Or more importantly, maybe a slight remold with sturdier shoulder attachments and improved hip joints with lateral ratchets. Also still an absolute travesty that they never released their bomber Megatron—I was so looking forward to that. Would still love to see it someday

I recieved Ultra Maxmus today (haven't had time to mess with it too much) It feels pretty good inhand and I like the sculpt a lot. Build quality seem on point as well. But I am Disapointed the the wheels aren't chrome like in the pics. I didn't have a trailor for him so I jumped on eBay and won an auction for a 'Year of the Hoarse' trailor that I will paint up for him.

The angle is making the waist look a bit slim but other than that they did make this one pretty skinny especially for the 9 to 10 inch scale and the generation toy version is right in line with the typical size of MP Primes. Not sure which is more accurate to the IDW style cuz I haven't paid enough attention to remember. I have both and like them equally, just wish my Darkness Maxmas had his antenna.
On a separate note I've gone back and forth with TF Direct and it sounds like they will be getting me the parts now but til then still on the hunt for the antenna. I guess it was a bit of miscommunication when I first notified them parts were missing and I told them both sets were missing, the pair that should be on his head and the extra. I didn't know at the time that the reissue no longer included the second set and I guess that's all they focused on when I wrote them and told me in their broken english that they couldn't get the parts because of the reissue. I assumed this was the issue and told them I now know there isn't a spare set included but the problem still is I'm missing the regular set and sent more pics, I told them their $10 offer wasn't enough to keep a new product missing parts and if they still can't get them, then I dont want it, would like to return it, and not pay return shipping because this is a factory screw up not in my control and I'm not losing money over that. They replied, ohhh, got it! We will do our best getting you the parts. What a pain! I hope they come through.

Might just be the angle, but looks very elongated…

Hey guys, I recently bought a Dark Maxmas from TF Direct and it came missing the antenna all together and I'm wondering if anyone has a spare set they would kindly sell? I immediately informed them that it came missing the parts and now they are giving me a lame reason why they can't get them and telling me that it is what it is and hope I understand. I have told them NO, that is not understandable at all and if that's the case I just want to return it. Anyway, I'd prefer to keep it if they can resolve this and need to secure some antenna if they do so without getting some for me. Thanks in advance for anyone's help!

Has anyone put articulated hands on this guy? Im thinking of using these on him
Hexatron
I believe they all do, at least my two copies did. I just used an x-acto to lengthen the tab hole on the shin guards.

Got mine in from BBTS. It came with a sword and axe set I didn't know about. Looks like they're recolored from the Nemesis version. It only has one of each, though. Mine also has two left of the front leg covers.
CQCSnake
Is anyone willing to sell one of the axes that come with Darkness Maxmas? I would really love a melee weapon for my regular version!

I turned mine into an actionmaster by removing some of the extra vehicle kibble and haven’t regretted it too much (truck mode does look very nice I’ll admit), as well as implementing the 3D-printed shoulders from transformer_78 which makes it look more accurate. It’s a perfect MP IDW Prime imo, but I would gladly buy it again if they released a metallic version; preferably one that adds sideways hip ratchets too
BIOMEC
Mine came yesterday, beautiful display piece, but that's it!

I'm SO close to purchasing this as I do feel that he looks better than my GT OPEX in display. I just would never transform him and GT's OP would be my fiddle bot when I want to transform an IDW Prime. However, I'm just waiting to see if GCreation will announce a better painted version like they recently did with their Sixshot.

If I could get this for $80, I'd jump on it too! But I don't need it badly enough to pay retail for it
magisman
So after admiring this from afar for so long, I was able to purchase a used copy (first release) for about USD80. Here are some of my thoughts on the figure.
PROS:
1. This is the best looking IDW Prime, in my opinion
2. Plastic and materials mostly feel good and sturdy
3. Diecast parts make this one of the most stable transformers to stand, at least in a vanilla pose
ISSUES:
1. For some parts, the tail-end of the screws are exposed, which blocks other moving parts in the transformation. I had to loosen them in order to proceed. The screws are located on both sides where the panel connecting to the head slots through, and on both sides where the center windshield rotates. If these are being stopped during transformation, do not force it. Check the screws first.
2. the grey part on the foot is very difficult to loosen or move.
3. There are a number of tabs which required sanding from my end, in order to fit.
4. There are some mold flashes.
5. very tight joints on the shoulders – had to loosen the screws and twist the joints to slightly loosen them. Now they move great.
6. Super tight antennae connection. If you're not careful, this will break during transformation.
7. Some tabs could use some shortening for a smoother transformation experience.
8. Haven't tried slotting in the gun fully yet, as I'm afraid of breakage.
9. Matrix does not tab in. It is designed to tab in but it keeps popping out.
10. Not really an issue, but I always fear that I might break off the red hanging bits on the lower ribs, since something actually slots in the spaces in-between there during transformation.
Yes, the transformation is very involved (i kind of enjoyed the sequence), but I don't have any issues with it, as long as all joints and the transformation sequence move smoothly. However, that is not the case here, at least for some parts.
OVERALL:
For those of you who like the design but are on the fence (maybe due to transformation, etc.), this is still worth picking up especially if you dig the design. Just be careful though during the first transformation – do not rush; fix joint tolerances and screws as you move along. For me, the transformation is not the issue here, it's the tolerances.
Now, does anyone know how to make the movement of the gray piece on each foot easier for transformation?

Well… not sure how that phone bill will end up going. I guess I'll try sending another email? Before my order arrived though, they responded to my emails within 2 days… not so sure why they don't even bother now.
