Thanks to twitter user Mr. Crying Face, an even clearer image of the highly anticipated Unite Warriors Blast Off figure has surfaced! This time we get a good look at Blast Off’s robot mode and alt mode which in turn provides a better idea as to how his transformation will work. From the looks of it, Blast Off is indeed an all new mold and not an amalgamation of parts or some sort of heavy remold of a pre-existing figure. It also seems as if his combiner hand-foot-gun has a new shell, making it a more unique weapon to go along with his new G1-accurate Ionic Blaster! To add to the uniqueness of this mold, Blast Off’s combiner peg will rotate out from his back instead of the usual chest-mounted peg, making him a truly one-of-a-kind mold in the Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors line!
Our sponsors have pre-order listings up for this set which is priced at about $134.99 USD and set for release in June of this year, so grab ’em before they’re gone! Be sure to check out the image after the jump as well, and share your excitement by clicking the discussion link below!

Oh yea I remember seeing that in season 3 it looked like a targeting scope kinda. Thanks for filling me in bro
Ahhh I see. You lucky bastid lol.jk
I know he's lucky from the land of awesome toys at decent prices. Although if he's from there I hear Hasbro Transformers are pricey there so it makes you wonder if "the grass seems greener on the other side" or if they realize they have the best toys available at way better prices then us Americans pay for them lol (I'm guessing Wind Saber knows @least since he's smiling about it but you get my drift I take it?

Blast Off Hasbro problem is that as jet is good (althoug his CW bio would suit better for Takara alt mode) but really,I can't appreciate that head .If he had a plate on mouth I'd buy him,at the end.
Takara version is so better.
I've already bought Hasbro Brake-Neck with Offroad and other CW Stunticons, please Hasbro, bring in the US that shuttle Vortex with mouthplate head and,if you want, a little different colouring.
I plan to buy an Hasbro CW Onslaught in these weeks and I'll wait for remaining members just for this: if within few months,Hasbro never announces a Target exclusive of shuttle,I'll buy him in the UW Takara set.

You rant on for paragraphs, and take time to hunt down links to pics to attempt to try prove a point and then say way to take something gravely serious?
Ok, you seriously just lost any validity you had left here. Anyway, I'm done…I've said what I had to say, although I'm sure you haven't.

Actually, the whole thing started when you referred to people who like Combiner Wars as "loyalists and apologists", but who cares about the finer details, right? Any other heat directed at you was due to your failure to comprehend the fundamental differences between a single-packed regular release line and a mostly-online-exclusive boxset line with a higher RRP.

Let's get this back on topic now before the argument between Rodimus and everyone else continues any further to the point where this thread gets closed because no one likes another narcissist spouting his opinion like it's a fact and having that escalate into another argument which doesn't need to exist ever.
Like many people, I'm wondering whether Hyper Surge Optimus will either be a new mold or yet another retool of TAV21.
Rodimus
You apparently missed the post where someone was saying all posts should come with a disclaimer stating the previous was the authors opinion. Way to take something gravely serious that was never serious in the first place.
You're lack of attention span is showing because you clearly missed the part where I want to buy Hasbro and own 90% Hasbro. I have a right to want to buy Hasbro with good paint apps and good quality control parts. The free market is that if they don't make it, then we have to look else where, which I don't want to do. This whole entire thing began when assholes like yourself turned it into personal insults on 1 single post I made about 10 pages back stating MY OPINION which you obviously don't think I'm entitled to. Clearly I'm either elitist or I'm speaking to intolerance with a lack of social intelligence who refuse to allow anothers point of view to exist, or even attempt to see the reasoning behind said point of view and I'm done with that. If you want to tell everyone one this forum to f* off because they have a different opinion, congratulations. You've done it. Yo're the winner. You're the king. You're the champ. You get the imaginary trophy of the internet.

I swear the hubris on you and Afterburner suck the life out of a thread in record time. What's really telling though is your insistence of convincing others of your opinion as irrefutable truth.
I believe if hasbro had released this same toy you and the usual hasbro decrier/Takara pom pom wavers would be here ripping it apart because clown shoes, blaster hands, "non iconic" shuttle mode, over-sized chest, "lazy redisgn of rook"..etc.

I'm just going to leave this right here…

If you can't understand logic and the original sarcasm from pages back than laugh and move the F on. This is a waste of energy so find some humor.

You're totally right, actually. They changed MP01's smokestacks just because they hate the fans! And there's no way they could be cautious about using Megatron because of earlier problems with people mistaking Megatron toys as real guns. Between you and me, I think Hasbro just didn't release MP05 because they were worried it'd make fans happy.
I am so glad that after all your lengthy whining you ended up just spouting tin-foil hat BS as it really just shows how out of touch from reality you truly are, effectively winning everyone else's arguments without anyone having to say anything.
Rodimus
I find it funny that people will accept any propaganda they are force fed to believe even if it's not the truth. Smokestacks: MP-10 had NO problem passing child safety laws. Why is MP-01 and the first reissue of Optimus Prime should not have been any different. They fixed it in later subsequent releases and were able to release at retail stores across the nation so it is quite obvious it was not a child safety law.
As for Megatron, why would there be an issue with something that doesn't even look anywhere near a real known gun in the existance of mankind like this one all the while the US has no problems selling more realistic looking toy guns at Walmart like
this or even this?
I hope you realize that when you look at the reality of history none of those excuses make a bit of truth. If you honestly believe that gibberish of "toy laws" than I've got ocean front property to sell you in Arizona and if you'll by that, I'll throw the Golden Gate in free. After it snows there, we'll turn it into our own brand new little nation where we can all live under a proud fascist government and they'll tell you all types of false propaganda to satisfy your conformity to our idea of patriotism. It will be the greatest nation on Earth and together we will create the great Aryan race. You are the perfect candidate to be such a good citizen for such a great new nation. We can build this thing together.
MatrixOfWumbo
Astrotrain and Megatron are uber subjective, considering Hasbro almost always does black and white Astrotrain instead of grey and purple (and plenty of people like the more realistic colors on the altmodes), and Takara's Megatron is basically 32 flavors of illegal to sell here.
shadowfall1976
Dude, after all that long winded bullshit…you have room to think others need counseling if they x and y about all the blah blah you wrote and ranted on about? And, damn, you really have an issue being challenged about what you wrote, which clearly said what it said, there was no ass-u-ming about it.
And about the supposed "cut corners" on the list you made…like Gaga said…hello, the US has strict safety laws on "kids" toys and yes, here Masterpiece figures are sold as "kids" toys, so safety laws do apply. And about Classics Megatron…do you live under a rock about stupid ass gun laws in the US or what?
And about CW and RID…my 6 year old has zero interest in terms simple ass shit from RID, he has his own Combiner…And, hello…um, check the age on the packaging… CW doesn't say 30+ or for Adults only it says 8+, if that's not aimed at kids…I don't know what is. It's certainly a toy line made safe so kids can play with these…toys.
And about paint…you do realize no company has unlimited budget for a given task. But, I know, somewhere you'll likely come back with some more wisdom as to why this is all wrong, but, whatever, still doesn't mean you'll be right.

Another thing to consider as well is what is readily available at retail in the world. In the US, Hasbro releases are all that are offered, because that's how it is. In other parts, UW/Takara stuff is what's on the shelves, because that's how it is.
If Takara stuff was released at general retail in the US for a few dollars more, like the GDO line, I'm sure collectors would be happy to pick and choose their favorites, knowing they're getting exactly what they want and/or prefer. As it stands, we can't, and many buy what's available for the standard prices and are happy with their purchases.
On the negative side, consider the GDO line. It was somewhat popular at TrU, even if the pricing was a bit higher. Many people bought up a good bit of the inventory because the figures looked good and it's what they wanted, but there was a lot of it still shelf warming many months after it was released. TrU was then stuck with even higher-priced figures shelf warming, which is something no retailer wants. What incentive is there for them to do such a thing again if Takara figures were ever to be brought over? People would buy up all the Blast Offs and Grooves, and they'd then be stuck with a bunch of higher priced repaints (because that is all they are, after all).
The absolute best idea both groups could do is release the Takara-only figures as online exclusives like what happened with Slingshot and Brake-Neck. If people want them, they can get them. If they are happy with what they have, then so be it.
Win/win, without all the negativity or pissing contests.
Yes, we know Takara stuff generally has more paint and is aimed more at collectors. We know this. Honestly, if I'd have seen some of the past Henkei figures at general retail for a few dollars more, I'd have bought them because they do look better. But I didn't, and bought what was available for the price I was willing to pay, and I was happy with my purchases. Still am.
Incidentally, having people here come in and constantly slam unpainted rims or lack of shinyness really does come off as elitist.
oehtam
damn, Blast Off bot mode looks perfect! Finally, we're getting him as a shuttle. Can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy.
Hanzkaz
Hm, when it come to white Generations-type Autobot carbots, I do tend to go for the Takara version. I went for the Takara versions of Jazz, Drift and am considering waiting for Unite Warriors Wheeljack.
However, I sometimes prefer the Hasbro TFs (CW Dragstrip, Rook, etc). I suppose the 'good' thing about living in the UK is that by the time the Hasbro releases get here (when they actually do, that is) we know what the Takara ones will look like.
Vakamadisk
I think most people were expecting something like Fansproject's Explorer or an amalgam of G1 Blast Off's toy with elements of the show model thrown in (like the forearm flaps).
Starscream Gaga
That's not even mentioning the fact that every single reuse of a mold in Combiner Wars has been used the same number of times in Unite Warriors bar two: Alpha Bravo (who never got a UW counterpart) and Blastoff-Slingshot and that they also have two extra reuses in Starscream and Thrust, discounting the lateset reveals until we know for sure that Takara will or will not be doing them as well (in which case: Hey! Look! A second use of Groove, effectively giving Takara MORE reuses than Hasbro).
