DELUXE
The Transformers battle explodes into uncharted territory when the Titans Return! To control an ancient race of giant, city-sized warriors–Titans–the Transformers must harness the power of Titan Masters, smaller bots that give bigger bots enhanced abilities in battle. Every Titan Master figure can become the head for any Deluxe Class, Voyager Class, or Leader Class Titans Return figure. Choose from Autobot and Decepticon Titan Master characters, unite them with other figures, and imagine they’re powering up for battle! Each Titans Return Deluxe Class figure comes with a Titan Master figure. The Titan Master figure becomes the head of Deluxe Class figure. When the Deluxe Class figure is in vehicle mode, the Titan Master figure fits inside. Also includes individual accessories and collectible character card. Additional figures are each sold separately. Subject to availability.

This is my exact credo for collecting. Scale be damned. Make it beautiful, and I'll buy it.
SouthtownKid
Yeah, that does suck, but to be getting Deluxe scale Headmasters at all, I'm willing to overlook it.
TheGrognard
The only thing that bothers me about this line is the masters' legs aren't individually articulated.
MatrixOfWumbo
Hardhead's headsculpt is great looking. I may have to pick him up
That Guy
Yeah, I've got most of the characters I want have have stuck a fairly consistent scale. It's a bit weird when other fans see it at first, I try and go by alt mode size, so my seekers are pretty large compared to Megatron and Optimus, but it works fairly well.
Noideaforaname
Scale is fairly easy IF you don't compulsively buy every last figure there is. So many figures get released you can say to yourself 'I want everything be be x scale' and still manage to get a sizable collection.
… but, ah, "don't compulsively buy everything"….
cylor
Yeah, that's the thing with Classics. The line doesn't have a unified scale like MP, but between multiple takes on the same character by Has/Tak or some 3rd party companies, you have lots of options. Even most glaring missteps as a deluxe scale Thunderwing are possibly being taken care of by 3rd party companies.
Murasame
My Classics collection has everyone in perfect robot mode scale. No problem.

Shop smart, shop S Mart…
And buy MP for all your toon scale needs.
CHUG has never been in scale, never will be. I don't know why people aren't used to that shit by now. Transformers and non scaled toys, repaints, mass shifting and often parts forming have gone hand in hand for 30+ years…yet, it's always a shock to some. MP is the first line, and it took 9 figures and 8 years (?) to make that line even scaled. But Classics will never be scaled properly.
blitzjoans
Even in CHUG there are people upset about Scale?! Wow, this is the next level of fandom-Scale-hating-thing
The new dudes looks incredible , im optimistic for next waves. So, what about Pre Orders?
Terradives
cartoon scale please.
motorthing
Really?
Golly.
knoted
A jet/space craft is way bigger than a puny earth 4×4 in most cases.
Fly with it.
Johntimus Prime
Or how First Aid is the world's smallest ambulance
And a combiner made out of cars is the same height as a combiner made of jets.
Trying to justify scale in Transformers will only drive you mad.
T-Hybrid
Hell, the one image I use to justify ignoring scale when it comes to the toyline is Windblade standing on Defensor's shoulder. Windblade is as big as any individual Protectorbot…but then is dwarfed by comparison once they unite.
The fiction and the toys are only loosely tied to one another in terms of appearance/scale. IDW has the freedom of being drawn and thus not constrained by manufacturing/engineering concerns. Meanwhile, all deluxe limbs in the toyline have to be relatively standard in order to work in the Scramble City format.
motorthing
That there.
Otherwise it will drive you fucking insane trying to reason why Genrations Trailcutter/Hoist and CW Ironhide/Off-road are puny little Deluxes while being 4x4s and Brainstorm gets a massive Voyager that now won't fit with his team mates.
Roll with it.
incapable hulk
I don't care about scale, just make cool toys
evilwithin
Skullcruncher looks so good… They are nailing all G1 HM.
Weirdwolf was in the rumors, I hope we'll get Mindwipe too…
Automorpher
Somehow, the TFU Hardhead scales better with TFG Brainstorm. (IMHO)
The new Hardhead is boss when we're talking about design but the fact that he's gonna be puny makes me think twice about getting him.
shadowfall1976
First off, HasTak design these together for the most part, not just Hasbro.
Second, it looks to me these Deluxes will be larger than they have been since 2011 or whenever the DOTM ones rolled out. And personally, they should be Deluxes, but the bigger pre DOTM Deluxes.
