Spotted on New Braunfels Police Department’s FB page by Zeke1, was a new police cruiser that was added to their fleet. The Corvette was seized during a methamphetamine trafficking raid, and will now be used for parades, special functions, and community outreach. A contest was held to name the new Texan police vehicle, and the winner was a young child named Chandler Radtke, who unfortunately was unable to ride along inside Coptimus Prime during a parade, but did donate his seat to the the contest’s runner up, Logan Andrist.
Personally, I think it looks more like a Prowl or Barricade, but you gotta admit, Coptimus Prime is a cool name and would make an awesome toy!
Cue “Bad Boys” song….

I see a new special US edition figure in our future.

Your move, creep.
Looks awesome. Love corvettes.

I guess the " " wasn't enough to indicate my post as a joke/sarcasm (because your post is the 2nd to elicit a serious response about these being repo cars — a fact that I already knew from the get-go), so I changed the text to blue.
JoeHavok
Actually, the Corvettes that are turned in to police cars are from seized vehicles from drug traffickers. The corvette cop cars are usually taken to schools in an anti drug campaign. That's probably why they gave it a Transformer name, to relate to kids.

Well played, sir.

Maybe I should've used blue text to denote a joke/sarcasm.

the car is an older C6 corvette it was probably confiscated from a drug bust or other raid. the cost of this car is basically just the stickers and paint and police units do this all the time.
my local PD has a C5 corvette, 02 trans am, and shelby GT500 mustang all acquired this was and all they are used for is the school drug and alcohol prevention program, parades, and car shows. rarely they are actually on the streets. they want to keep the miles off of them because as soon as they hit a certain mileage they have to be retired

Now that I think about it, this makes Red Alert being a fire department Lamborghini less ridiculous in comparison.
