Take this one with a pinch of salt, fellow Transformers fans. It seems that there is a potential for a Combiner Wars version of Transformers Armada Demolishor, using the Combiner Wars Onslaught tooling. An image posted on Taobao alleges to show this alternate head mold.
There’s some question over the authenticity of the image, namely, there’s question on how the head seems to be in a sharper focus than the surrounding body. Also, it is not yet clear if this is even intended for release, or if it is just an alternate head tooling made for potential future use (other examples of such alternate head toolings designed, but not used, include a Beast Wars Megatron tooling of Fall of Cybertron Grimlock which we once saw under similar circumstances).
Check out the image attached to this post, and see what you make of it.

I was assuming they'd just toss him in with an already-released crew, like they did when Motormaster reissues came with BC Optimus.
NotRamjet97
I'm hopeful this disgusting abomination will never see the light of day.
Autobot Burnout
I'm more curious about why a Demolishor head for the mold exists. Though at the same time it seems pretty easy to guess the intention originally was to have another Armada character to accompany Armada Megatron in this line, but who knows.
T-Hybrid
The focus of the panel was IDW and Titans Return, so that could explain the de-emphasis on CW figures for now. We'll probably hear more about Demolishor once Waves 5 and 6 get closer. Sky Lynx still needs a case mate.
Purple Heart
I really hope this becomes a reality. He has a place in my collection for sure.
That Guy
I'm a teeny bit bummed that there was no further mention of Demolisher as a toy at NYCC. Would have been cool to see if it was happening like this or was a head for another planned toy or something.

Well, again, this isn't a Demolishor test shot, per se. It's just an Onslaught with a Demolishor head, since that head is on the same sprue as the Onslaught one and part of the same tool. There's no telling what may be on a sprue on another tool, or gated off, that wasn't run since they were doing Onslaught test shots.

It'd be kind of funny if, if Demolisher does get a new Combiner head, it's modeled after Blackout (his Minicon, not the movie guy).
Basilisk
But i'm not surprised he didn't get a new head for the torso they didn't even make a new one for Computron.
Autovolt 127
I'm thinking it'll be like that BW Megatron too.
He looks really neat. Though i'm surprised he has the Bruticus head.
Basilisk
Maybe his combiner torso head could have been Energon Demolishor's head
Johntimus Prime
I'd still like a new Armada Prime, this time with proper articulation, and a trailer that isn't hindered by automorph shenanigans or electronics. A fully articulated Super Pants Prime would rock.

Well, keep in mind that this is just an Onslaught test with the alternate head, as opposed to a Demolishor test, per se. There may be another tooling that wasn't used here that contains alternate parts, the same way Scattorshot has new wings, nosecone, and tailfin.
First time I've handled this mold, since I'm waiting on Unite Warriors Defensor for myself, so I had to look at where things seemed to lock in properly. He can do that setup, but the Botcon sample that was on display showed them as I have them.
You can see the edges of the barrel behind his head, just peeking out.

Where? WHERE? I wanna see!

Hm…. Never noticed it before but Shockwave is plugged into the back.
Dragonclaw
There are a few possibilities with this….
Limbless wave filler like Cyclonus and Scattorshot, last wave piece that may not ever see actual release anyway…
Ruination giftset (trying to make it different from Bruticus so changing some heads and characters while keeping the combined form)
Botcon box set…with Botcon earlier in the year we aren't that far out, with Hasbro having kept G2 Menasor for themselves an Armada combiner seems like the kind of thing we'd be likely to see from them. Especially since 'combined box set' has been on that survey of theirs since day 1 and ties in well with the club store and 'freebie' Armada characters

That image may not be 100% accurate. The arms on Hotspot need to be down so the chest of Defensor can lock in to place. It may or may not be that same for Onslaught/ Bruticus.
payres
Shouldn't the shoulder be pointing up in combined mode?
soundwaverulls
Eh, still don't think this mold fits Demolisher particularly well. I really, really hope this does not come at the cost of a Ruination.
Edit: Wait, he still has Bruticus' face? I'll definitely pass on this, then.
Nevermore
The Demolishor head is an alternate head sculpt that's on the same sprue as the Onslaught head.
