Is the ankle/knee fix still available? Will Keith still respond to emails? I like this guy, but those knees….not sure if I can still get the parts in 2023.

Indeed, it's huge! But he can support it okay.

I never realized how big Diktas backpack is until now. Fun pics with Omega

This is a picture I took when I first got him years ago:

I think he's the same. But it's not very sunny here today, so maybe it's that.

Did the brown on Ditka always look so dark? Or has it yellowed?
I would have owned this figure had KFC stuck to its original color scheme.
Still waiting…

I got Ditka out yesterday, ready to take photos of him with Star Toys. But since Star Toys is now arriving tomorrow, I thought I'd take photos of Ditka with Thomas instead. (And yes, that's a cartoon reference. Shocking, I know.)

Ditka is a great figure. Ibot mentioned he deserves another round with some tweaks. Wouldn't mind the original color scheme they were going to go with, but the current one is crispy too.

I used Kiki to tighten up the knees and ankles, I just always hated the arm articulation on it, it's always been limited. , could just be I prefer the aesthetic of the star toys version but I'm not gonna jump the gun just yet, I'm gonna wait to have the star toys version in hand then compare them, if Fanstoys ever ends up releasing theirs I'll probably end up selling the KFC and star toys and buy 3 Fanstoys. Lol

Honestly, I still prefer the look of Ditka. I love all the details and more mature look. I think if @ibot did a bit of retooling to fix the knees and ankles and re-release Ditka in proper colors at a competitive price XTB could have a winner.

I got ditka, it's a nice fig but I think this new DS/Star toys Blitzwing will be better, if it's anything like the seekers and Blaster then it should be a great figure

The talk was putting out a v2.0 at some point for this and Apollyon. I have my doubts we ever see those. They put out a reissue of this so they have sold a lot. With the Deformation Space and FT versions coming out this may just not be a priority and they feel they milked the money they can from the mold without investing more. You mention Octane, Skids, and Cliffjumper but you have to remember they hit those molds hard and fast without competition and have been able to get all of the repaints they want out of them. Same reasoning behind painting the Horrorcons when Chomp came out and Dracula was reissued. No one else currently has Horrorcons. I think around the March/April timeframe to put a damper on the Deformation Space version, FT is going to drop the updates on Berserk and I am sure XTB knows these things well in advance. Deformation Space put out a Blaster and FT has Recorder painted and ready. XTB puts out Commander Stack and FT has Margh ready for 2024. Its all just par for the course.

They churn out repaints of the Skids and Cliffjumper, even a painted up Octane but this guy still hasn't gotten a painted or updated release. C'mon Keith, put the crack pipe down my man and fire this out before Fans Toys, people will bite.

Hate to resurrect this thread, but does anyone know if they make replacement hands for this guy? The fingers on mine won't stay closed anymore and I can't seem to figure out a way to correct it.

Been wanting to post this in case someone has the same questions I did.
The latest version has the fixed knees and ankle. The ankle is supposed to be able to flip back AND now lock in place, but the new tab is a bit big and does not quite let you flip the ankle without some slight xacto trimming.

This is what the ankle is supposed to be able to flip back to.

The fins on the leg are a bit loose. I took a soldering iron and touched the tip of the back of the metal peg, while pushing from the other side, to melt and tighten the fin up. Melt is a harsh term. Soften is more appropriate.

I'm sure this thread has had a lot of discussion of Ditka's feet and his stability, but I was fiddling around earlier and discovered that giving him high heels makes him vastly more stable. Before, he could barely stand straight, but now he can do this.
