After releasing a list teasing their future release, DX9 Toys has shared through Weibo prototype images of D07 Tyrant, their Masterpiece inspired representation of Galvatron. Tyrant will stand at around 25 cm (about 9.84 inches), and it looks to be articulated at the level of other Masterpiece inspired figure.
This is a very preliminary announcement, so specific information is scarce. Be sure to stay tuned to our coverage for more details as they become available. Check out the prototype image after the break.

Since DX9 has done some reissuing and recoloring recently with Hanzo, I'd hope they would continue the trend with a marvel / Galvatron II recolor.
I would dig a metallic paint job like this expert work on Dx9 tyrant. Ft-16TM maybe.

Yeah, I agree with you on the design but the decor (obviously) matches better with 16T. Luckily I have time because I have a feeling more FTs will pop up in the next few months and hopefully I’ll have more info on DX9 someday…
Splendic
You mean FT's toy version?
Yeah, either way, FT's alt mode is awful, JMO.
Goose24
Even compared to the toy mode?
Splendic
I have Tyrant and Sovereign and can't imagine a reason I'd want to use Sovereign's pushup alt mode over Tyrant's for anything.
Goose24
If one were to go for an alt mode display next to the G1 toy, would you go with DX9 Tyrant (assuming it's ever re-released) or FT-16T? Alt mode on DX9 is better overall, but just haven't seen it displayed next to the G1 for comparison.
EDIT – should have just checked Emgo obviously. Now thinking I may want to go with FT-16T. Bummer.

His alt mode gets heaps of credit for the transformation of the back half having some nice "masterpiece moments" that are so neat, but it's unbelievable that the gun doesn't aim upwards at all. Great fig tho. I love the purple finish on Sov but hate its grey plastic.
Dek
I still have it, it's a solid figure that doesn't get credit for being predominantly purple in one mode and gray in the other. Also the way his back piece threads through the torso is awesome.
Goose24
Saw this guy is up for preorder on ShowZ with a release of “2022”. Anyone know anything about this – price or timing? Really thinking about grabbing him to go next to Sovereign in alt mode.
Stykthyn
Anyone have an extra matrix?
daddytron
I have both Tyrant and Sovereign and also Sovereign M and Tyrant’s alt mode is so good, it absolutely obliterates Sovereign’s. I consider Tyrant a must own just for that reason.
ThrustJan
You're right I'm just rewatching also other videos,in alt mode destroy FT. So unless is a bad copy, I can transform easily hands without knife.
Thanks again.
daddytron
He comes packaged in bot mode. I recommend doing his transformation at least once. It’s very clever and his alt mode looks terrific. I find it particularly impressive how his bot mode is 70% purple and 30% gray but in alt mode the percentages swap. Like the engineers performed some kind of color swapping sorcery.
The joints are all painfully tight the first time you do it though. I have found that many DX9 figures are kind of like baseball gloves that way. They are overly stiff out of the box and have to be broken in a bit before they function optimally. Mightron, Tyrant, Gewalt, Gabriel, Montana, Capone….all fall into this category.
ThrustJan
Thanks! So in the package is already in robot mode?If is true,in extreme case, to avoid using knife, I'll keep him in robot mode and use my G1 as alt mode.
daddytron
I can’t remember if it was EmGo or another reviewer that found that’s the biggest culprit for this is the fact that the hand doesn’t just fold in. It folds in and tabs VERY securely. Completely unnecessarily. The hand is already folded in and the forearm closed. It’s not going anywhere. Whichever reviewer it was sliced off the tab inside the forearms and said it made a big difference.
I didn’t have the heart to take a knife to a $160 toy that way so I never did it, on either the past copy nor the present copy of the toy that I had.
ThrustJan
Thanks very much to you all ,at this point I'll buy a Tyrant on late February, are still cheap and absolutely not rare. But I support anyway a re-release of this toy.
True I wanted to pass to legends but first I need a MP Galvatron for my collection.
As a last note, were you forced to loosen the screws on yours to pull out hands in transforming him to avoid eventual breakage?Emgo said that that transforming wrist on his was rather difficult for that.

DX9 never closed up. They simply said they will not make any NEW molds because the designer left. They are currently releasing g2 stunticons and are re-issuing old molds.
Scurv
The dx9 designers are gone, but the owner of UniqueToys still has the molds. Hence all the re-releases.
We just had Dx9 Henry re-released in G2 colours months after Dx9 closed up shop, so I dont see why Tyrant won't be re-released.
Dek
DX9 closed shop after reassign their last Stunticon. A reissue for this is looking very grim.
ThrustJan
I prefer this to Fanstoys because is cheaper and is funny to transform ,and face feels "Galvatron".
Any news about reissue? It's strange that on US shops still no preorders.
DX9 had encountered problems but hope that Tyrant can be reissued, just as they're finishing their Stunticons.
