Spinning out of our SDCC 2015 coverage from yesterday, IGN has put up a new Transformers: Devastation video, featuring commentary from the makers of the game, including writer Andy Schmidt and none other than the voice of the king himself, Gregg Berger! The video shows us a good chunk of gameplay with commentary, but the main event here is of course our first look at Grimlock gameplay! You can check it out after the break.

Usually if a console game gets dlc the pc version does too.
jamarmiller
if they do the add on thing, do they do them for the PC is is the add ons only for the consoles ?
Type X
I'm sure they'll sell add on packs after.
Seems like thats what games are now, spend $59.99 n then $189.99 in add ons and (season passes) then when you're done get $1.35 at Gamestop lol
Sideswipe80
Not even close to how this game looks

It undoubtedly will be. There's very little chance that it won't be far, far better then any of Transformers other offerings; Platinum Games make amazing, fun games and this game is based on Bayonetta, which is one of, if not the, funnest game franchises ever.
I mean, if you seriously think this looks worse then Armada, WFC or FOC… Well… I guess we all have opinions, but that's silly.

And you think G1 fighting would make for a fun game?
Sideswipe80
Game looks good but way the way it plays looks like a Dragon Ball Z game and not a Transformers game with the super flashy attacks. They didn't battle like this in G1.
kaos
this^^
as of now the only issue I take with this game is lack of roster….which if activision is involved will be rectified with DLC..hell wouldn't surprise me if its in game locked from the get go.. :/

Michael Bell was confirmed as coming back to give his voice for the game

The only negatives I have about this game so far is the fact that you can only select 5 autobots and no decepticons.Going with cel shaded graphics was a genius move, this game looks absolutely beautiful.
BAD187
Wfc and foc were both gow clones that weren't that great as clones. The transformation element didn't really add much to the game IMO.
This one looks great but I'm not liking the gameplay. Such a shame, it should have given you the option the choose whichever fraction you want. Combat isn't bad, but don't like the over the topness bayonetta vibe from it. Same for the slow motion time. Not liking the direction this game is going in honestly.

Basically, games that are actually fun to play.

Well shit, they just put 2 copies in my house.Showed my son and his first words "Is this on the 360?".I see no reason to get it for my PS3(or anymore games for that matter)and just wait until i get a PS4.

Okay, having played the demo on the convention floor and talked to one of the developers/reps their about the dynamics of this game, let me say this:
To anyone viewing this as a one dimensional button masher, read the 3 quoted posts above. If you viewed and played Bayonetta as a one dimensional button masher, then stay away from this game; you won't like it. This game's combo system, while maybe(?) not as deep and layered as Bayonetta's, will reward players who play with timing and precision.
My complaint with this game is that it was modeled after Bayonetta and not Vanquish, lol! Oh well, maybe the sequel!

Seeing as I have over 100 hours on games like Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, El Shaddai, Killer is Dead, Dmc, viewtiful joe, God Hand, Lollipop Chainsaw each I think 60 bucks (even if it's being sold for 50 bucks) will be very much worth it.
MaxLinden
Anyone know if that is Michael Bell's voice?
But either way, I don't know… I'm sure the first play through will be loads of fun but I can't see myself playing it over and over…. It ain't worth the $60 with what we've seen so far but I can see myself picking it up in the future.
