Hasbro has just sent us over official images of the Victorion set! This set, which is set to release as a special edition box set in 2016, will include the following:
- Voyager class Pyra Magna (from voyager Hot Spot mold)
- Deluxe helicopter twins Stormclash and Skyburst (from deluxe Alpha Bravo mold)
- Deluxe race cars Jumpstream and Dustup (from deluxe Breakdown and deluxe Dead End mold)
- Legends motorcycle Rust Dust (from Legends Groove mold)
This set will feature some retooling including hands, feet (combiner ankle tilts), weapons, and head sculpts.
Check it out after the jump.

They look much better on in-hand photos than on the official ones.
Still, it's kinda sad to see how CW Victorion and Computron feet are designed with an ankle tilt feature while standard HFGs are not. This should be a bare minimum, not a premium feature.

Go GULF Racing!
If they were going to make a Gulf racing team, they should have gotten the shades right. They shoulda been all cars and a car hauler too.

If they do than I'm skipping Hasbro.

I'm curious if Takara will do some sort of 'Tracks to Road Rage' thing with their version of Victorion.

Looking at their limbs, that is where it goes bad. The square shapes kill it.
Now the new for arms have rounded shape, like a regular fem-bot. Examples like Arcee and Chromia in the generations line. Why not continue with that? The upper legs and upper arms on all the bots could have easily be round shapes. They need not be square. And would aesthetically be much more pleasing.
Im still thinking if i will buy the set or not. Usually when i start thinking
I don't but who knows.

I'll also always wonder what the choices for truck would've been. Is it possible we had a chance at getting the Rook or Swindle mold as a limb?
My guess is it would've reduced complaints about those two but increased complaints about Pyra Magna as she would now have been the only "bulky" figure in an otherwise slender team.
Honestly I regret not throwing more support behind the Optimus mold because I'd love to have seen that group go into fits when we got an even bulkier torso bot.

Same, I was really hoping for an Offroad-mold limb as well. Looking back I would have gone for Dragstrip as the other car-limb too, I think those two would've made for a more visually interesting line-up and a better looking combined mode.
I brought this up in the other thread as well, but I wonder if those molds had won instead would there still have been as many "they look too bulky/masculine to be female" comments about Dustup and Jumpstream?
T-Hybrid
I kinda like that Hot Spot won, as we already had a female jet last time. Plus, it helps get the point across that not all female robots need to be sleek.
Heck, we had a chance of our female combiner being built from Optimus Prime's voyager mold and be named "Slammoth". That would've been even more interesting.
My biggest disappointment with the voting was that we got two cars and thus never saw what the choices may have been for the Offroad/First-Aid limbs.

Thanks for the clarificaiton. I did not vote and did not follow the development, I thought gender was chosen first.
I wish people voted for the Silverbolt mold, though. Not much space there to modify the bra for the individual or combined mode on Hotspot, while Silverbolt offers plenty.

May have said it before…but…if HasTakTom "could have" budgeted for cybertronian retooling to these…
T-Hybrid
I'm reminded of Strongarm when looking at the Torchbearers. A series of female characters who are female but only have certain elements that are "feminine".
They look great in IDW, and remind me of Samus in her power armor in that regard.

I think it'd have been interesting if we'd voted on gender first, then had that information when voting on molds. I tend to think Dragstrip, Offroad, and Alpha Bravo are all molds that would have been chosen then – while none are overtly feminine in the "I need sexy fembots sense,*" neither are any of them particularly bulky or strictly "masculine**."
*which I find kind of weird, but whatever
** I'm not really saying this as a statement on my opinion on gender and body types so much as what I think fandom would have chosen when the question is framed as "which of these molds would you prefer as members of a fembot combiner?"

First impressions:
LOVE the head sculpts, on both the combined mode and individual bots.
LOVE that we finally have a female combiner team.
LOVE the massive sword.
LOVE the combined mode feet.
Love the bot modes for the most part, with some caveats.
But the alt modes are way too apparent in the repaint-y-ness.
Would have preferred slightly more extensive retooling. Digging it otherwise.

…We knew they were going to use existing molds from the get-go. Because those were the molds we were shown when voting.
Pavol Palat
I only wonder if Hasbro told us right away "Dear fans, you can choose gender for your combiner bots… but they will all be remolds of the male molds", whether fans would still vote for the female characters.
I know I would not.

I've skipped all the other combiner wars sets but I really like this one! Something that will definitely stand out in my collection!
Veritas Prime
I could be wrong on this but I'm not sure if they said the colors were permanent or not. To be honest I would prefer the original colors to come back when Combiner Hunters ends.
Slingshot
Wait, those colors are going to stay on the three for a long time? Hmmm… I don't know if I like that.
Veritas Prime
I think they did in the preview for Combiner Hunters, Chromia says on the first page that it's for the unification agreement between Cybertron and Caminus.
IgnikaMarcus
Exactly. That's why I'm not laughing.
