Well we have a new entry into the ever expanding world of 3rd-Party masterpiece-styled figures. A few days ago, brand new third-party company Transform and Rollout released some renders of their first project TR-01 Masterpiece-styled Jazz on their Facebook page and have now followed up with the first images of their prototype in bot mode.
This figure appears to scale with the current run of Masterpiece figures and features everything you would expect from Jazz, including his blaster, grappling hook and speakers.
There isn’t a firm release date announced for this figure, but it can be preordered at site sponsors BBTS and TFsource.
Feel free to jump over to the boards to let us know what you think of it.

Ugh. I do know there's some kind of tire …"restorer" that was being sold on eBay in these circles. I can't remember the name of it and I haven't seen it in my listings for a while but I'm sure it's still out there. Maybe someone else can find it? (If it still exists.)

Just a heads up for people just getting this figure. Unless they changed the rubber they used, the tires are prone to cracking. I got one when they first came out and within a few months noticed cracks forming on the tires. Not sure how to treat them to prevent it, but just wanted to make people aware. Otherwise he is fun and looks absolutely amazing in vehicle mode!

I haven't found a launcher that fits, honestly. I'm sure someone could kludge some poorly fashioned attachment to use a launcher from another figure, but it's not the same, y'know?
Overall stability seems iffy on him, at least down the road, but right now he's working and the transformation is a lot easier than the others and I'll take it.

Just got him about a week ago. The total lack of foot articulation is obviously a real bummer, and the way the shoulders slot in is certainly peculiar. But once I got him fully transformed he's rock solid. (The only transformation issue I still can't fix is his neck tab refusing to fit into the slot on the torso, which judging from other people's pics in this thread is a common problem.)
He fits in perfectly with the early MP carbots, with a nearly perfect alt mode and a bot mode somewhere in between the cartoon and the G1 toy, and that's exactly what I like from MP bots. None of the alternatives quite hit that same note of alt mode accuracy, not even FT-48X which also seems like a PITA to transform.
Only thing I need to make him feel complete, as with others, is the shoulder launcher. Doesn't seem like there's any readily available source for these, unless I've missed something?

Got this in today and the driver's side front wheel cracked. Had to super glue it together which has now frozen the front wheel, permanently, so the seller is looking to see if he can get a replacement piece for me.
Aside from that issue, he's much easier to transform than I realized (the instructions are terrible), and I have to say that for the price I paid, he's generally worth it.
I had MT's version years back and it's nice but this is affordable and easier to transform. If you're careful, he'll work rather well.

Hmm, ya know, I think I may have been too harsh on this guy.
Sure the articulation is a bit limited and the transformation may be a bit finicky, I can't hate a great looking Jazz.
His accessories are still fun too.

Left knee joint is incredibly loose though.
Update: floor polish has made his knee considerably LESS loose. And he can now stand up doing this next to his brother from another motherverse.

And overall generally just looks good next to him.

Hova's back on pre-order at ShowZ.

I hate everything about it except its looks. Both modes are great but the shoulders are annoying and transformation isn't something you'd be wanting to do again right away. Posability is 15 years behind. But if you're wanting a Jazz that looks pretty, can't go wrong with it for its price.

Hands down the best 'realistic' vehicle mode of jazz. I'm not into animation style vehicles.
The figure itself is ok. I prefer maketoys myself. He seems to be the best all around figure and blends really well with official.
Hova if at a good price is a solid figure and more fun than fanstoys

Sounds like a TT fig, which is what I like.
Out of all the videos I watch, Golden Zhen's old video on Bilibili seems to be the best and easiest to follow, and is the only one where the shoulders go in with ease without forcing. Check around the 10:50 mark:

He also does the Toy mode properly as well later on in the video.
On it's own , I'm OK with the alt mode, but when compared to other cars, the wheels are slightly too big for me.
Same, that's probably one of the main reasons I'm on the fence with this. It's just taunting my OCD.
Plus the huge red stripes above the rear wheels are also an eyesore for me.

Plastic quality is fine. Nothing to get excited about but nothing to complain about either. As for fun, he's not nearly as difficult to transform as, say, a Fanstoys figure, but he's not as easy as a Hastak. I find his shoulders to be particularly obnoxious – once you get them seated in, they hold well and he's reasonably sturdy, but getting them seated always feels like a struggle. Like I just kinda' have to force them into place.
Overall, I'd say that, if you like how he looks in pics, you'll probably like him in hand. His alt mode is probably the best out there if you're into the more realistic looking MP alts like I am. His bot mode's proportions don't match the cartoon at all, though, and he's definitely closer to a toy version of MP Jazz than cartoon. I also wish his rear fenders could slide down to the bottom of his legs to look like both the cartoon and toy rather than hanging out halfway up his lower legs.
Hougangkid
How's the plastic quality and is he fun to transform / mess with?
The price seems tempting, but I'm on the fence after watching a few videos. So any second opinions are appreciated.
He's around the same price as the TT Sunstreaker and Hound KO's, and the reissued TE Mirage a while back, but those seem to be better figures at that price.
I don't necessarily need an MP Jazz, but if he's cheap and fun, why not?
The only MP figures I have are mainly TT KO's, so am not willing to spend outside of that price range.

Is any place still selling the International Version with no decal on the wings, shipping to USA?
EDIT – Looking through the thread, looks like that version never even came out

The original and the best. That metallic blue and fluorescent yellow pop like you wouldn't believe!
I still have mine, though the ravages of time have faded the blue on the doors a bit so the colour is no longer uniform.

Awwww…Binaltech Smokescreen. The only figure I ever wanted from that line and could never find.

Or the TFC-004 Gear of War
I'd sell for $30 if anyone is interested. /selfpromo

Back when the Binal-tech/Alternators lines were active a 3rd party produced some launchers for the cars that didn't have them. They were moulded in grey or black plastic.

I've no idea where you'd get them from now – I guess they could show up on eBay.

What is a BT accessory launcher? Bingo toys? I need one.

You think if there was it'd be here?
