Hasbro unveiled today their Leader class Generations Ultra Magnus, inspired by the IDW comics design. He comes complete with a tiny little Minimus Ambus figure who acts as a partner to the bigger robot – and did we mention the missile pods and guns combine into a huge hammer for when Magnus needs to “wreck and rule”?

THIS IS PERFECTLY how I feel…Only i am getting the Takara version…the color is just perfect from the comics.
If I find this in a Target I will probably get it.
emoo
Not surprising all the leader since the tfp leaders have been the same size. Tfp leader optimus is the same size as aoe leader optimus and jetfire, but it's still nice to get the confirmation
God Ginrai
So…the same size? I expected him to be a bit bigger than the other two, but I can certainly live with it.
jestermon
If only I knew how big those other 2 were ha.

Might try and recreate the scene from Marvel UK where Magnus throws Megatron around like a rag doll
Fort Max
Should look good standing up to Megatron.

All bought on sight…….
Awesome stuff
Gepard
Now we know how large he is relative to Leader Megatron and Leader Jetfire:

Pre-ordered it on sight. I can't wait for this to be released!
Bountyan
As usual I'll wait to see the Takara one first.

So many of my dreams are coming true…..

UM just went up for presale at BBTS.

Nope, I mean there isn't anywhere else to get in there is no opening door on the side of the cab.
tusko
So the ladder and door's not for nano-bot access? They gotta get in somehow!
jestermon
Those are access panels not full sized doors with a window in them.
That ladder on Prime is a small in scale ladder to get on the back of the truck it just has more rungs on it.
If you can't see a difference I don't know what to tell you.
There is no "normal" sized door on the side of the cab at all, there is only the small door at the bottom at the top of the ladder.
Dashdragon
Those are standard access panels, which I imagine most will try to think of in regards to the one on this Magnus. The ladders on MP-10 are also fairly well scaled for the figure's scale.
The reason people keep talking about it on Magnus is that it clearly has 2 different scales in the same figure. A normal human-sized truck with a access door for smurfs. So it's not the same as people saying they want X to scale to Y figure like other scale discussion. They want X to have everything scale with itself.
I think it's a pretty stupid move, but won't have much issue ignoring it. Though I won't gloss over it by saying it wasn't an extremely stupid thing to put on there.
GoLion
Real trucks have those small doors on them as well.
Murasame
That's all what I'm waiting for!
I mean, Hasbro Ultra Magnus already looks great. But if Takara's Ultra Magnus looks better, I want that. So… BUT it's Fall or Winter when Ultra Magnus is available, I think, so until then Takara should have announced their version until then.
Maybe at least painted hubcaps would be nice.

This Magnus figure looks the business to me. As you can tell from my namesake I am a Magnus fan. He will definitely replace my BH Voyager and FOC Magnus figures good as they are….
Awesome

I just wish Takaratomy would announce tier release of Leader Class UM!
