Getty Images and the twitter feed of Levi Tinker (among others) report that coinciding with the Blu-Ray and DVD release of Transformers Age of Extinction, Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, dipped his hands in the cement at Hollywood’s famous Chinese Theater. That’s not all though as Optimus Prime was also granted full honors complete with a huge statue of Age of Extinction Optimus Prime and his wheelprint in the cement!
It’s yet another great honor for the 30th anniversary of Transformers and the man who for so many of us brought the show – and Optimus Prime – to life.
Rightfully deserved, Mr Cullen, rightfully deserved!

Hopefully I am not necro-ing an old thread too badly, but I was in Los Angeles this weekend for LA Comic Con and visited the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood to see if I could find Peter Cullen's handprints and signature. I wasn't able to see it (though I did find the ones for Star Trek, Harry Potter, Star Wars cast, Dwayne Johnson, Stan Lee, among others) in the forecourt area and the staff there told me that perhaps it was ceremonial only and not on permanent display So anyone here actually spot Peter Cullen's cement imprint in front of the theater?

Dunno how they got in, but the real me is back.

Oh shit guys, something is seriously wrong here, I need a mod to help me, I believe my account has been compromised…

I so want to Los Angeles again!!!
I'm also so happy for Peter Cullen that now he has literally print in Hollywood

I'm so happy for him. He really earned it.

Was this open to the public? I wish I was there

Congratulations to a legend.

This made me so happy. Peter's love for his brother and them giving us the Optimus I will forever love makes it so much more special. Both are heroes.

D'awwwwwwww, that is unexpected and very nice!! Good for Peter….
Would have been even better with Prime's handprints and tire tracks in the cement too!!

Yes, Frank Welker really deserves this too. He's been (voiced mainly creature sound effects) in more things than just about any other actor whose ever lived.
That would have perfect.

I watched a video of the event this morning, it was quite emotional watching Peter speak about his brother. Well worth a watch, and it shows just how much this role means to him. (Sorry I don't have a link, FB's blocked at work)

Ok, you sit there and bash and nitpick about how the film(s) wasn't/aren't great but they give us, me anyway, a great experience!
Cullen deserved this. Hope Welker gets on

Thanks for the reply man. I really appreciate it. I live in Oklahoma so I've only heard of the Walk of Fame.
So this is a pretty big deal then. Alright alright alright!

About damn time.
Maybe now people can take a step back and remember how lucky we are that we even got these movies. I certainly haven't forgotten and remember 2003 when it was revealed and the horrible 4 year wait.

Yeah it is kind of like the walk of fame. There are almost 200 signed concrete slabs out in front of the theater. Names like Shirley Temple and John Wayne. Not sure if this is a first for a voice actor though. Which is huge if it is. My wife has gone there a lot years ago.

Aw Yiss!!!
